This has been an amazing ride that I'll never forget! Even the early losses!

RE: This was a big deal
It was a terrific accomplishment..and feeling.

In relatively recent vintage...

Utk win.
NO Bowl...a legitimately good team...also blew out a bunch of opponents with wins over misppppiiii and Louisville in a romp...and the numbers of Tiger Fans in NO was impressive.
Some progress after that 2003 season but did not fully seize on that...slowly regressed before bottom fell out around 2009.
This year...a legitimately good team, blew out oppositions in nearly every win. Need fans and community and recruits to sustain it this time.

Starts with another big outing at the bowl...and next season with big crowds!

Proud of these kids. The seniors were members of arguably the worst team in D1 college football and leave as one of the better teams..certainly top thirty...in the country.

Reading your quote, I completely agree, I would not have predicted otherwise...can you imagine making this statement 3 or 4 years ago. I remember the Porter teams.....such a terrible place. I remember reading that Raines leaving somewhere and saying this needed to change. She gets alot of beef, but she realized the terrible state of the program and helped start the change. Anyway, I'm completely happy with where we are.

Nonetheless, the Seniors can wash their hands of any of that....they're Champions!!! Who among us can say that?!?

Shirley didn't care much for football. Under a wiser president, we might have invested in football sooner. Plus she let a bamboozler like RC run the show into the ground too long.
Hopefully, we can use the momentum from this season to greatly improve our program facilities, recruiting, and conference wisein the near future.

It started with Coopers touchdown and all the way thru the post game ceremonies. Serious goose bumps and heavy sweating in my eyes. DAMN, I've been waiting on this for a long time. Thanks Coach Fuente, players, and Tom Bowen for an unforgettable season and the wonderful feeling last night you gave me and Tiger fans everywhere.

Shirley was also a Vol and had her marching orders from UTK. That certainly didn't help.

RE: This was a big deal
Five years ago we had a thread about what it takes to build a successful football team. Now we know. I wish someone knew how to find that thread. What a difference a coach makes.
