Tried searching. Did anyone happen to catch it?

RE: Tonight's Zone
I watched it last night...The UAB dialogue was much more aggressive than the night before...Raita and Scarbo were in rare form, and Segrest said it so eloquently, mentioning how the scumbags (my word, not his) challenged UAB to show more proof of support in the stands & community, & how that was accomplished in his eyes, and still, forces are at work to close them down. Raita agreed, but asked the big question last night, is it too little, too late?

UAH saved hockey after the minions announced it was shut down. The uproar saved it. It is not too late until we give up.

I never believed them when they laid out conditions that had to be met. It was all b.s., like it always is from the UA BOT.

I wonder how many players transferred out after the announcement. If the best ones did, it essentially made them start over. I know the record isn't great even though they seem to be playing better lately.

Very glad to hear that. Thanks for that breakdown.

I was talking with a UAH grad and his wife last weekend. They were both decked out in Alabama gear. Something came up about UAB Football, that I was a fan, and there was a chance the program would be shut down. I had tried to avoid the subject knowing where that conversation might lead. He hadn't heard about the UAB Football issues, but was actually outraged when I told him. He was a big UAH Hockey fan in college and was part of the group who pitched a holy fit when they were shut down. The nerds love their hockey. He said the strong push to end the program came from UAH's interim president, who was the UA Chancellor. He also said even though they managed to save the program, irreparable harm was done and is not sure the program will ever fully recover.
It's depressing to think about how we're going to be in the same boat if we do save the program. It's a win-win for the anti-UAB athletics BOT members, and a lose-lose for UAB.

I wouldn't believe those (bleepers) if they said that rain was wet. Beware Romans bearing "gifts." They've been smelling themselves at UAB's expense. I for one, have zero tolerance for them.
