Seems like everything was being declined for some reason.

Have to wonder if stuff like this would give him legal grounds to sue the university for negotiating in bad faith when they hired him in the first place? Not sure that he would pursue such a strategy but it's always possible that part of a settlement could stipulate that Watts and Mackin being banned from working as employees for the state of Alabama...a sort of giant F*** You on the way out.

He has a supporter who wanted to donate towards the IPF & our administration/BOT did not want to accept the donation.

Remember that building anything like an OCS/ IPF would be establishing a foundation for the program that some do not want.

Only at UAB can this bullsh*t happen.

That is the question. We suspect the evil 3 on the BOT of course.

Was Watts & Mackin involved?

Kind of strange if they were but with the lack of support both are providing you have to wonder.

It's an interesting question. From his telling there certainly were promises made that they either didn't have the authority to make or they out and out lied. Either way they were acting on behalf of the university and state and brought him here under false pretenses. He would probably have an action.

Damn it, don't give us money! We're about to shut down because we don't have any money!

This has Monte Python skit written all over it.

I'm curious if McGee was also brought here under these same pretenses. Was he promised things and didn't get them so he left.

Geez this could be the first class action in the history of coaching

That...is a dead football program.

No it's not. It's resting.

Resting??? You've got them playing in Legion Field. It's a dead football program.

No listen. Hut hut hut. See that football program is fine

That was you. You hired Neil Callaway. That is a dead football program

They're pining for the fjords.

Maybe.

Clark has talked about facility improvements since the day he was hired. McGee said he could win with what we had right then. Only one of them proved it was possible.

I think we have all been around long enough to know how our programs are kneecapped by the evil ones.

It happened under Anderson & it happens every time we show a glimmer of hope.

I believe that is called "a pattern", if you will...And you are absolutely right.
