NCAA 1st Round - Liberty Flames @ JMU Dukes
Ok here we go. What do we know about Liberty this year? I've got nothing since we last played them at their place.

From the looks of the broadcast yesterday, their fans eat REALLY well.

Just looked at their schedule, and this tell me absolutely nothing. Looks like they put up a lot of points, but it's all against very weak competition.

I know Delaware fans are disappointed about not making the playoffs, but Blue Chick fans should count their lucky stars because if the Hens were paired against Liberty the Flames would roll them in seasoned flour and deep fry them. 03-lmfao

They lost to Chuck South. We gotta pound 'em!

I believe Liberty has been starting a new freshmen QB the past two weeks. Don't know the backstory, though. Is the original starter hurt?

Anyone else impressed by their win against App State? I didn't realize they played or beat them this year. I know some of us brush this off because they are a bad Sun Belt team but bad Sun Belt teams are no better/worse than good SoCon teams. If that App State team were a ranked FCS team instead of a bad Sun Belt I think we would give the win more credibility. That on top of Coastal Carolina scares me.

I think we win this game but I think it ends up being a high scoring game that comes down to the last drive.

Their starting qb Woodrum hasn't played the past 2 games and a freshman Masha has been playing in lieu.
I watched their game versus Chuck South and he is quick with questionable decision making at times.
We will definitely have to contain him.
here are his season stats:

#3 MASHA, S. Comp-Att-Int Pct Yards TD Long Sack-Yds Effic
Gardner-Webb 1-1-0 100.0 3 0 3 0-0 125.20
Charleston Southern 21-32-3 65.6 238 4 30 0-0 150.60
Coastal Carolina 20-33-1 60.6 285 1 72 2-18 137.09
TOTALS 42-66-4 63.6 526 5 72 2-18 143.46

Thanks, My Bad. Hmmm let me spin it into......... I guess that makes me feel better about Indiana State getting in with a 7-5 record.

I'm not sure App would be a ranked team if they were in FCS this year. App is just not good right now.

I agree we should not take Liberty lightly though. We've lost to worse teams this year (Delaware) and barely squeaked wins out vs the likes of SB, WM, and Charlotte. JMU is a better team than Liberty and has momentum, but this could be a difficult game. Root and we win.

RE: NCAA 1st Round - Liberty Flames @ JMU Dukes
Their schedule looks much tougher than ours, but that's just my opinion. They played very well throughout the year. This will not be an easy game. Remember that we almost lost @Lehigh in the beginning of the year. That would have been worse than losing to Chuck South I think. Anyway, the point is, you can't just say, "You guys played a powder puff schedule, so JMU from the big, bad, nasty CAA is going to throw you around like a rag doll." I guess you can say that talking smack, but it's not really true. At least, not the first part. I really do hope we throw them around like a bunch of rag dolls.

Liberty gets no respect because of the Big South label, but the teams that remain there are pretty good and their OOC looked fantastic, even if they did lose @Indiana St. I would hope our score on Saturday is about the same as that game, but I don't yet trust our defense.

I think that actually looks pretty impressive

Won at ASU
Lost to Rich on OT
Certainly much more competitive in their ACC game than we were.

Appears to be far from a slam dunk
