My small brush with college football history
I was at the first FBS game to end regulation 0-0 since overtime was adopted (FAU at AState in 2005 won 3-0 by AState) and for some reason end up watching the Wake Forest - Virginia Tech game. I may well be the only person to watch every 0-0 regulation FBS game since overtime was adopted.

That is unusual. My question would be why you would intentionally watch the Virginia Tech-Wake Forest game? 04-jawdrop

The same game in the SEC would be described as two defensive juggernauts playing smash mouth football.

You mean like you can't look away from a train wreck?

Our local CBS cut away from Virginia Tech-Wake Forest to get to the Ole Miss-Arkansas game.

In this case, it would be more like you can't look away from watching paint dry.

I watched the final quarter and the OT. I have a relative that went to Tech and some inlaws that teach there. It was still boring.

I was also at a 3-0 final score Ole Miss over Memphis game. This was in the Rip Scherer (pre OT) era.

RE: My small brush with college football history
I went to a 3-2 game. Raining like hell, at times couldn't see the stands on the other side, we still had a grass field. I went down at halftime (most of security had said eff it and slunked off to dry places) and sunk to my ankles on the field. Probably a world record for third down punts in a game. We had a 2-0 lead that looked like it would hold up and then fumbled deep. They tried a FG on 3rd down, kicker fell on his duff, ball hit the crossbar and bounced over. That was far more entertaining than Wake 6 VT 3
