Seriously, copy your legislators.
The BoT might not be accountable to you, but the people who approve their appointments are.

Got an email back from Mackin today. Simply said:
Thank you Phillip I am listening to you
Somehow I actually prefer that to the other responses that have been posted.

Was looking for the most up to date trustee information. I couldn't find all of the trustee information in previous posts. And the UA System site, obviously, removed the email addresses but the list managed by UAB seems to be accurate.

Heard something today that the official decision will come Monday, we're not gonna like it, and that members of the B club have been told what to expect. Any truth to this?

Whether the decision comes Monday or not, that is up to Watts. B Club has not been notified nor has anyone with any association to UAB Football.
My gut is whatever is decided will start leaking before the end of the weekend.

RE: Critical Mission
This is really the most bizarre thing I've ever seen, even for UAB. I just don't know how they can use any salient argument for the plot now that we've had over three weeks to take the story national.
Until proven otherwise, I think they take the UAH Hockey approach. Here's how they did it:

RE: Critical Mission
I heard that the word around the program is it's over. But then again those are internet rumors.
Also saw something on twitter about rumors of a sit in. I dunno, that doesn't inspire confidence.

Sit in or no, what concerns me is that there's rumors of people within the program saying the hammer is about to fall. It still amazes me that nothing more definite has leaked yet.

RE: Critical Mission
Short of an actual honest to god protest IN his office with a huge number of students and fans, I don't know that anything will move Watts to make the right decision if he hasn't already. To paraphrase, Pharaoh Ray-ses the First may have hardened his heart and will not relent.
All he's doing in such a case is driving himself out of a job as a university president.

The hammer could fall, but I just rechecked our sources which are really good, and nothing has been communicated. In fact, the vibe is more positive than any time in the last few weeks.
Watts is going to make this call.
Based on what I know and what I am piecing together, due to all the pressure (internal and external), they are exploring an alternative approach that gives UAB Football achievable goals to improve fan and financial support. This would include allowing investments into football infrastructure. This would give the BOT the "accountability," and give UAB Football supporters the opportunity to prove they can truly support this program.
With all this being said, let's go occupy Hattiesburg and support these young men, coaches and staff who have truly made us all very proud!
2,000 fans at USM, plus a victory, sends another huge statement!
Go Blazers!

I would be in agreement with that.
After that announcement & our victory this weekend I would increase my season tickets from 6 to 8.

We are all hopeful and proud of the efforts of everyone. I am looking forward to a great game Saturday and a big win! Stay positive and let the team know how much we support them. It has been awesome to see everyone come together as one. Let's be positive

RE: Critical Mission
The only vibe I get is what I read here. I've gotten exactly two responses to emails I've sent, and one of those was from Coach Clark.
If Watts makes the wrong decision, his resignation better damn well be stapled to it.
