Well, might as well get this over with...
App State, I would like to, um, express my moral support for your football team in tomorrow's contest. I am, um, you know, hoping for an outcome that is to your liking and stuff.
I'm not feeling great about our matchup with ULM so it would be nice if we could get some breathing room.
Hail Southern!

Since we've worn out Hyper Bowls, is this a conundrum?

I believe it's called an enema. Something like that.

rain and wind mean a lot in this game, ULL secondary is awful, App passing game is pretty good, if we have good weather that doesn't affect throwing, Lamb has a great day, but ULL wins in a close one 34-31, but if the weather is as bad as they are predicting, and it becomes difficult, or near impossible to pass, ULL rolls 38-17

I can almost promise you this, the weather man predicting bad weather? I can pretty much guarantee you it won't rain a drop. I wish I could be that wrong every day and not get fired at my job.

RE: Louisiana vs Appalachian state
Expecting a W out of our young Apps this week is a bit much. We matched up well, esp up front, with Ark State and ULM, but not with this bunch. If we can continue to pass protect Taylor will completes some passes and we'll score some points. Unfortunately with our top NG out and the backup banged up our 3rd teamer will be seeing most of the reps and that's not good. If our Not So Special Teams play continues to let us down it could get ugly. Hoping we keep it close enough and have somewhat of a shot at the end.... but I'm not expecting to. This will be the ultimate measuring stick to see where we stand in getting to the top of this league. This as an R&D game. Anything else is a bonus.

Well speaking of special teams, this is the game where The Prophet, Elijah McGuire, runs a punt back for a TD.

I'm about to head for a morning mountain bike ride. App is 2-0 (Troy, Ark St) so far when i've been able to get out for bike rides pre-game.

This is not a good sign. I see a bike wreck in your immediate future.

Our ST return game is atrocious. Even with McGuire returning punts it is abysmal. We had the greates return man in the history of UL graduate last year and you can definitely see the difference. Daryl Surgent was unreal as a return man.
Now our coverage teams are pretty darn good.

Surgent was special, that's for sure, but why is it McGuire hasn't done better at that spot? I'd have tought he'd be as slippery as an eel running back punts but so far he's been average at best.

Our ST's have been cursed since the day Jerry Moore took over. I had to stop in 2000, but in those 15 years App has given up an astounding 24 TD's via punt & KO returns. That is NOT a misprint.

And we seldom take it to the house when receiving. We have had some really good kickers and punters though but not recently.

Sam Martin was rather recent, and Dexter Jackson has been our only return threat for the past 15 years, Took two to the house against Gardner Webb.

What is that "mountain" thing you speak of?
