Neal Brown could be our guy at TROY
Just the rumor mill going hard core that Neal may be our guy.

Was at Troy from 2006-2009. He started as our WR coach then in 2008-2009 as our OC

While as OC at Troy he managed to put together the #3 offense in the country. and we had arguably the best offenses Troy has ever had the 2 years he was OC before Texas Tech came calling. While at Texas Tech in his first year he had the #15 Ranked offense in the country.

Currently he is at Kentucky as their OC and is paid 550k , and they are looking for Bowl eligability in 2 weeks for the first time in years.

A successful coach who is familiar to you. Sounds like a winner if it is true.

I would be happy with this hire....he was here during the glory years of the SBC 5 championship run...I think he can get us back there.

How do you think most hardcore fans would react to his hire?

Its being talked about on Troyfans.com as we speak....Most think it would be a good hire...A few have their concerns. As to be expected with whoever we hire...

Most seem to like the idea.

Brown was in my top 2 or 3 before Anderson popped up last time. That would be a good hire.

I agree.

Big things are about to take place...The stadium expansion is getting ready to happen... and I expect the expansion will be apart of the New coaches deal.

His name popped up more than once for our job. I know there was a mixed reaction out of our fans on him, liked his work at Troy, but never really had him at the top because of other candidates that might be available.

Troy is the most logical fit for him. He knows the program and community and knows what it takes to build a program. My concern would be can he hire someone to fix the defense. That and the fact that Kentucky is likely to not finish bowl eligible after their great start.

This is gonna be a case of we won't know who till it's officially announced...

I also don't think anything is a done deal yet either. But I do think Neal is a candidate. But just possibly not the top one.
