Wonder how the players feel about the uniforms they wear…except the Terps and those god-awful Maryland jerseys.

It's win tonight or go home for the holidays.

For those that don't know why Maryland has such a strange color combs.... they actually have 4 school colors. Red, White, Black, & Yellow....... The same as the State Flag of Maryland and the Coat of Arms of Queen Mary of England.

The only people in the world that know where the Glass City is would be in Northwest Ohio. So on a National telecast we use this regional moniker to identify ourselves. Perfect

Secondary logo on the front or back of the helmet okay but this is just a team with an identity crisis.

The uniform on the player doesn't win the game. It's the player inside that uniform that wins the game.

Unfortunately, with the snow and cold business I'm out for tonight as well. Hopefully, I'll be able to watch some or all of it on TV and not be in a truck at the time.

I totally agree.

I also don't recall any of the local "glass companies" (OI, OC, Libbey) being huge supporters of UT, but I could be wrong...

Hopefully we don't have a "glass jaw"...

How about I was watching an out of town game a couple weeks ago and the Jeep logo was on the nets behind the goalposts, where Toledo has All State Insurance (thank you for your sponsorship of UT). But wouldn't you think UT should be the first place that Jeep should spend their money since UT alums and family members built that company, products, and worldwide brand?????

RE: 'Glass City' Uniforms for bgsuCKS game
In addition to history, UT has an ongoing relationship with glass. Statement from UT Dept of Governmental Relations document:

The University of Toledo: A Transformative Force for Building a New Innovation Economy in Solar

Many people think of Toledo as a blue collar, rust-belt manufacturing city largely supporting the automotive industry. Some people know that Toledo has had a rich heritage in glass technology, starting with the invention of the first automatic glass bottling machine and some of the first automotive and sheet glass technologies. However, few people outside of the solar energy industry know of Toledo’s emergence as one of the nation’s leading centers for solar energy technology. The University of Toledo has been parlaying this glass technology know-how into the foundation for a vibrant thin-film solar energy cluster. The university not only supported the cluster through research centers and academic programs, but helped provide the leadership in shaping the vision that the region can be a national or even global center for an emerging industry that promises opportunities for regional economic growth and prosperity.

Shame, the weather actually looks like it won't be that bad...considering it is at night in Northwest Ohio in mid-November.

Per weather.com, it looks like the snow is done for the night and the temps will be in the mid 20's. Wind looks to be around 15-17, but coming from the south-southwest so the home stands should block some of that.

I suppose that counts as being "not that bad" - when compared to Buffalo or Anchorage.

Not coming down to the Glass City to catch a cold, lose my voice screaming at the play calling and driving back with a high probability of a road rage incident after a loss when we are a 6 point favorite. Life's too short to risk a stroke over a football game.

That's why you buy some cigars for the drive home...it calms you down 03-thumbsup

Loved the uniforms, until I saw them in action and couldn't read the numbers. The only way to tell apart #4 and #9 was the players' height. So, downgraded to a 'like'. The Glass City stuff is fine for a game. There aren't a lot of city universities in FBS that could do something like that.

I liked the uni overall (except for the helmet sticker). Looked sharp.
