I think this is the first of many this season. I actually didn't think Vince had a very good offensive game and could have easily scored 10 more points.

VINCE HUNTER, UTEP

Hunter had a double-double with 14 points and a career-high 16 rebounds, both team highs, as UTEP topped Washington State of the Pac-12 Conference, 65-52, in its season opener on Nov. 14 at the Don Haskins Center. Hunter secured eight offensive rebounds in 31 minutes while adding two blocks and two steals. The Miners led throughout the contest to beat the Cougars for the-second straight year. It was UTEP's ninth win over a team from either the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, SEC or Pac-12 conferences since Tim Floyd took over as the Miners' head coach for the 2010-11 season. This is Hunter's first career C-USA Player of the Week honor, but he won a season-best five C-USA Freshman of the Week awards last season.

He probably should have had about 24 and 10. About 6 of the offensive rebounds came on layups he missed. He'll start finishing as the season goes on.

Probably the POY this year....
