How can y'all tell when tickets are sold/how many are left? Every now and then I see a post like "1,000 tickets left," just wondering where that info is found

Go to tribeathletics.com, then click on the tickets tab. Then select football tickets, select the game, and that takes you to a screen where you can pick your seat in the section. When you hover over the section it shows you how many tickets are left in each section.

Thanks. Looks like about 1500 tickets are left

Can anyone who is on campus shed some light on what is being done to advertise to students, and if there will be good attendance in the student section this Saturday?

My family has 13 going(tickets already purchased) and there is still an outside chance I and my daughter make it 15 if we don't sell out before I can work out my conflict.

Last game of the year, night game, playoff implications, many shots of the full student section on national TV, what's not to like? Hopefully, we will hear from the WMsportsblog guys with an update on the ground on campus.

They put flyers in mailboxes, but that's about it

RE: Game 12 -- Richmond
My friends, this is the game of the season for our good guys. If the students can raise themselves out of the library chairs , frat house bar stools, or sleeping it off in the dorms for this national NBC TV game then no amount of cajoling, free drawings for prizes, or free pizza
will make any difference.

Hopefully, the outstanding students turnout for the opening men's basketball game last night
is a good omen.

The normal banners and posters are all around campus, flyers are in each of the students' mailboxes, Tribe Athletics has been posting all around social media, we at the WM Sports Blog have been posting our article all around social media as well, and we have been spreading the word on campus.

I (Davey) even posted on the very popular WM student Facebook group titled "Overheard at William & Mary" about the game, specifically posting about the team's needing the support of students in the seats. The post has close to 100 likes already, and is rising. It seems as though there is a LOT more buzz about this game than for any other game, because of the playoff implications. Most buzz we've seen since Homecoming--where student attendance was very solid.

Any updates on Strauss? I think the game will really hinge on his health

Strauss, at least according to Times-Dispatch, is expected to play.

More critical for us is who we'll have on the offensive line. If Jones can't start we may have
four reserves in theire...not great for the running game.

I worry more about pass protection with an injured o-line. I think our running game will be fine either way.

RE: Game 12 -- Richmond
I agree. Actually, my opinion, of course, but I have felt that several of the replacements did as well or better than some of the guys that they replaced. That speaks well of our depth.
Pass protection is more intricate and does take more time to develope a good chemistry. That is more my concern for this game, knowing that Richmond has an excellent pass rush and Cluely will need time to read the field.

The other thing I will be watching is the match up between their tall wide receivers (especially Diggs) and our rather short D-backs. If Reed and Swinton can hold up there, then I give us a MUCH bigger shot at winning.

RE: Game 12 -- Richmond
Also, UR tosses tons of short, quick passes. JMU was very aggressive against that. We cannot play way off and give them the short ones or we will get picked apart. Strauss still is hobbled, and if he has to go back on drops he can be had. The quick hitters do not require him to be as mobile.

Hoping the OL can hold up, and let Steve make some plays. Also, since UR can score a ton more, and more quickly than Towson or Elon, we need to get TD's. FG's are not going to do it.

We will have four reserves in there. Book it.

RE: Game 12 -- Richmond
I just hope The Tribe comes out with the same intensity this week as they did against TU. Last week we were ready to play on both sides of the ball. The O line has been one injury after another but the replacements have experience. Having Bo gives a depleted TE position some strength .
Go Tribe !

Game 12 -- Richmond
The capital cup was featured on a short segment on Gameday about FCS rivalries.
