OOC games with former members
Which schools that were once in the BE do you think your school is most likely to play in the future? I'm looking for realistic answers. We all cant play syracuse and ND nor would they (and others) want to play every c-7 team

We already play BC.
I think 2 other "likely" opponents are Uconn and Louisville

UConn for obvious reasons such as geography. Also there have been quite a few good games between these 2 the last few years

Louisville- the Pitino factor. Also PC's last trip to the final 4 went thru Louisville (the city)

Without any actual knowledge, I'd guess the most likely schools SJU would attempt to schedule would be Syracuse and UConn based on history. Then again, how often was BC (never mind Miami or VT) scheduled by any of the other schools? I'm not sure if Pitt conjures up quite the same dislike. Maybe Cincinnati based only on recent competitiveness and Rutgers for geography, but I'm guessing not likely.

I'd guess for Georgetown outside of Syracuse and UConn which we already have- maybe something with Cincy or Pitt. Also wouldn't be shocked if we see things with Temple and Memphis continue(kind of counts)

Recent competitiveness? Surely you are joking.

For Marquette, ND would be number 1 based on history. Louisville would be #2 based on CUSA/BE history. Cincy would probably be #3. Pitt was a good series based on 2003 NCAAs and BE games. No real history with SU or UConn outside of BE years. No need to see RU or USF again.

With tournament commitments, Big Ten-ACC challenge commitments, games against local opponents (Colgate, Cornell and Binghamton), Syracuse is likely to play only two BE schools per year. These will likely be primarily, if not exclusively, against GU, SJU and VU, which were among our biggest BE rivals and which are in cities where we want to recruit and service alumni.

Ok. I thought you were trying to say that UC wasn't a good basketball program until recently.

Rutgers and Seton Hall are continuing to play. There will even be a trophy now.

I 'd like nothing more than for Georgetown to play Maryland. It doesn't have to an annual game. I'd even be willing to play all of the games at Verizon Center.
