Oh NO!!! Drexel loses to D-II University of Sciences 54-52 on a 3 point shot with 2.1 seconds to go. Not good.

Bruiser's head probably just exploded at the end of the game.

On the plus side, that loss won't affect their RPI!

Didn't Haavad stomp NU yesterday by 16 points? I think Haavad is pretty good but NU received "ORV" in the National poll just a few days ago.

And, don't read into Towson's 1 loss record...Bama smashed them and they've played no one since.

Harvard was 5 in the Midmajor poll with an expected final RPI of 48 (according to RPIForecast) while Northeastern was 23 in that poll with an expected final RPI of 100. No surprise that Harvard won that game easily.

Perhaps the most ignominious loss of our friend, Bruiser's career. He must have been hell on wheels on the sideline.

Unless there is some major turnaround, is there any way Bruiser doesn't lose his job?

I wonder if Rodney Williams regrets his decision. He's a 9 pts, 5 reb, 3 to, 2 blks player who would have done well at W&M. But alas...Drexel and their pathetic play since he's been there.

Not sure if he does regret it, but he should. His style fits perfectly with this team and he would thrive with this teams passing.

Interesting that our recruiting ended with him once Whitman committed. Though, if we could have somehow foreseen Jack's redshirt, we could/should have tried to get commits from both.

RE: MBB: other games of interest
This is pretty shoddy journalism here:

http://ftw.usatoday.com/2014/12/universi...ces-drexel

The author says they're the firs non-D1 team to beat a D1 team on their court. When he cites the record of D1 schools being 226-0, I thought maybe he meant to write just this year. With 351 D1 schools, and many playing two (or more) non D1 teams, 226 games makes sense. Then he proves his ineptitude by correcting himself with a tweet from the National Association of Independent Colleges that another team beat a D1 school in 1987. So clearly, he really thought that until last night no D1 team had ever lost to a lower tier school on their home court...

OK, I admit it was before my time and I had to research it. 11/26/88 - 92-91 OT loss to Hampden Sydney.

RE: MBB: other games of interest
Yale stunned UConn at Storrs last night on a last second three-pointer.

UConn, the defending national champion, had ONE offensive rebound in the game, the first loss to a state team in decades.

UConn is a team with several McDonald's All-Americans and all are four and five star players.
They also tower over Yale's smallish players.

One of the great upsets of the season!
