If Enfield doesn't get things turned around in Trojan land he could wind up in the scratch-and-dent bin soon.

Feces up by about 50 over Md Eastern Shore with 7 minutes to go. Just enough to feed that hype machine for another few days...

Big name school, but I can't recall Penn St. ever being relevant in basketball.

They're not and they're not a great team. We were up 17 and started playing not to lose and just stopped trying to run our offense. We need to keep the foot on the pedal when we get a lead.
I'm impressed with our guys in OT though. Three of our starters fouled out and we were carried by three newcomers and our center.

A win is a win. While it wasn't the greatest win in the world, a loss to a bottom half BCS school is the kind of thing that will keep you out of the NCAAs. Pressue is on ODU, UTEP, LT and Charlotte to keep this conference afloat. The bottom of CUSA is terrible, but if the top 4 can come out of the non-conference with a decent RPI, there will be opportunities for good wins and resume building within the conference. The key will be to avoid bad losses. In the CAA days, at large bids were given under the merits of in-conference wins against the top 4 (usually ODU, VCU, George Mason, and either Drexel or Hofstra were usually solid). Some on the C-USA board seem to think the season is over, but there are still 4 teams that have the ability to build a strong resume. Penn State, while not that good, will help your RPI as the season progresses as teams like Michigan, Michigan State, and Ohio State will start being factored into your formula.

Good luck against LSU tonight.
I hope we help the conference grab two SEC scalps tonight!

Illinois State and Weber State are playing a close game. Too early to call it, but these look like scrappy teams.

Both teams have Utah State as their season openers and only loss... weird.

RE: BB scores of future opponents / of interest
Gotta hope that LSU holds their own in SEC conference play now. Their wins are our wins. If they could win that consolation game they'll be playing, that would be great too.
It's nice to not be in that consolation game. I think we may very well be...dare I say it...just about back in the sunshine again.

RE: BB scores of future opponents / of interest
USC barely beat an 0-4 Drexel, 72-70. Andy who? FIU wins over a Div. II team. The CUSA scheduling philosophy continues to leave me shaking my head. They all seem to play DII schools in the regular season and wonder why it is a one bid league. We need a little help guys, we can't bring up the RPI by ourselves.
On a football note, Rice is beating UTEP in Houston, once again in front of 10s of fans.
