John Rogers...
He was actually quoted a couple of days ago.

Birmingham Representative John Rogers, who works for UAB, said the study could be used as an excuse to kill football.

"They are going utilize the attendance and the venue that we are not bring in to do away with it as the reason," Rogers said.

That said, it's good to have his support but even better, I think, to see others leading the charge. He's a divisive figure at times and his passion is sometimes trumped by his clumsy delivery. But his voice is still a positive at the end of the day.

John probably may feel that since he is on the UAB payroll, his "preaching" would be discounted by the enemies while applauded by "the choir".

Does he have an office in Birmingham? If so, I'd like to give him a call and find out. He's usually pretty vocal about issues like this...But maybe someone found his price, too.

He has no power anymore. The Democrats are no longer in control. What is he going to say?

...thanks for the info, y'all... I'm not a big fan of JR myself, but he HAS championed the UAB cause in the past, and Lord knows we need all the voices we can get...

RE: John Rogers...
There are some things that the Republican & Democrats can agree on.
I believe this is one of those things that can be agreed upon by impartial people.
