Has anyone received a response from Watts?
How can he ignore all our emails? There must be a human in there somewhere.

I delete junk email all the time without opening it.

RE: Has anyone received a response from Watts?
I had my email replied and cc'd again to Dr Watts by an official close to his office that I'm confident he pays attention to. Without getting into details, I suggest remembering who you had a good relationship with and cc'ing them in just in case he pays attention to letters from others at UAB.

I'd imagine that regardless of which Watts address being used/sent to - it probably is more his secretary/intern doing a general consensus/tone from them in what Watts gets but nothing he probably doesn't already know.

I figure he does not have to read his mail to know he kicked an anthill.
I just don't think he cares what the mail says.

Don't count on it...That's what arrogant, evasive ***holes do, & no, I've heard nothing from him, Mackin, or for that matter, Blazer Boosters other than emails advertising ticket sales for other sporting events, they're acting as if nothing's wrong, IMO. But, proverbally speaking, the (bleeping) sky is falling! Only thing I'm buying from here on out are football tickets until the Tuscaloosa scumbags decide (or not) to push that "button.".

Got news for them…. their sports are going to evaporate too if football goes. They better get their heads out of the sand (or somewhere else).

They never have gotten off their butts to do much of anything to sell tickets so why should they start now. I bought 1 ticket from MTSU for our bball game there last year & have gotten dozens of calls on season tickets or tickets for special games like homecoming etc for football/basketball since that 1 purchase. Yet being a UAB season ticket holder for numerous years & multiple parking spots for the last few have netted pretty much no calls. If UAB athletics survives, many changes need to happen in the athletic dept & not just Mackin/Watts.

Nothing groundbreaking. I worked for UAB in outreach and fundraising (among other things) while I was an undergrad so I have people in "upper" administration who were more than happy to confirm the validity of my point of view. We DO have friends in high places, but in the end it is Watts' neck that has to be stuck out.
