I like what I'm seeing right now with this Cajun team and like I said in another thread, I don't usually make predictions 'cause I'm usually proved wrong, but this weekend I see ULM on the receiving end of an ass kicking.

This does not relate to the OP, but UL-M will make it closer than the A-K you wish for.

Well, for what it's worth, we played you guys with basically the same defense again this year. Don't know how much your offense changed from last year to this and it really doesn't matter to me.
Look, when we get our asses handed to us like LaTech did this year, I've got no problem admitting that we got throttled in all aspects of the game. However, anyone who follows the Cajun team closely will tell you that last year's Cajun team that played at S. Al was not the same team that had racked up 5 or 6 in a row before Broadway's injury. And I hope you're not trying to sell the idea that such an injury to a key player, the key player, has minimal effect on the rest of the team.
Again, you guys played with the hand that was dealt you and you won the game, congrats. But I still say it's a stretch to think that had the Cajuns rolled into town with a healthy Broadway that the final score would have looked the same.
Our offense is different.
2013
Points per game: 29.4
Yards per game: 426
2014
Points per game: 21
Yards per game: 376
The defense argument is silly. I don't care if this year's defense is the same as last. We put up 30 on Louisiana Lafayette in the first half last year and Terrence Broadway doesn't play defense. If Broadway had played then I think the score would've been closer but I think USA still wins. And Broadway got hurt during the ULM game, so your coach had a full week to get the backup ready. No excuses.

As I said, I'm usually proved wrong and grudge games often turn out that way. I'm just feeling especially bold right now because each week this Cajun team exceeds my expectations. I hope they do again this weekend as well.

I guess you have access to some TV thing that I don't. The only CUSA games I have been able to watch on TV up here are the ones on FS1. The rest are not available.
Kind of like ALL of the SBC games except for a few on Tuesday night every once and awhile. It's called cable or satellite. The games are readily available on the Fox networks and CBS Sports as well as ASN.
Jonesboro gets FS1, One Fox Sports Regional Channel and if you pay an extra like 50 bucks a month you get FS2. That's it
There is no American Sports Network here. But we do get ESPNU, ESPN, and ESPN3 where all Sun Belt Games are available free of charge.
ESPN3 is not a TV channel. It a website where 90 percent of the games you play are "televised" and I am pretty sure you have to have cable to get access to them. So, you are already paying 50 bucks for the privilege to watch them. Also, Jonesboro AR is not exactly the best example for a typical TV market. In Nashville you have Comcast, ATT Uverse, Dish, and Direct TV where CUSA games are shown regularly on the networks listed in my earlier post.

1) The defense argument is silly if you believe it's impossible for a team as a whole to be affected pyschologically by an injury to a key player....like the starting qb. Personally I believe it's possible and believe that played a role in how that game played out.
2) I know Terrance Broadway doesn't play defense so you can stop repeating that.
3) I too think that had Terrance played the game it would have been much closer and would not have been surprised to see the Cajuns walk away with a win. We'd beaten both WKU and stAte on the road so it's no beyond the realm of possibility.
4) I'm aware Terrance was hurt in the ULM game the week previous and yes, it's the coaches responsibility to have the backup qb ready to play. He didn't and I've faulted him for that.....actually he had the entire season to have Haack ready and didn't, so there's that.
5) Having said what I said in #4, everyone knows that when the backup qb takes over for the starter, it's a seamless transition and the team never misses a beat therefore last year's win by S. Alabama is completely representative of what the game would have looked like had Terrance not been injured.
Satisfied?

I've got Cable. I saw Marshall play FAU a couple weeks ago. Saw ODU play MTSU, and that's pretty much it.
I think that's the one big difference, if you've got the right satellite and cable package availability, you get a lot of CUSA, but if you don't have type access, you're going to get more Sun Belt.

Anyone with Direct TV sees CUSA games everywhere.....Also WKU will have most basketball games on Fox College Sports Channel 608 on Direct TV....
Only way you see Sun Belts games is on a Tuesday or Thursday night....

Really? I've seen all 9 Arkansas State games this year without once having to pay a subscription fee, or visit a sports bar.
I've seen zero WKU games using the same parameters.

ESPN3 requires an internet connection, no cable requirement. WatchESPN requires a cable connection.
We've got multiple cable outlets and ATT Uverse up here. We've never had a CW Affiliate though. I think there is only one in Arkansas.
There is an American Sports Network affiliate in Arkansas. KATV out of Little Rock (shows ASN on it's subchannel). There is another affiliate out of Cape Girardeau that some in Northern Arkansas may get.
A complete list of affiliates can be found here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Sp...affiliates
I know WKYU in BG shows some of the games as well, so there may be a few stations to add to that list.
I personally liked the idea of ESPN3. It was pretty easy to access from anywhere and was included with my internet package. My problem with it was the low production values (they took an HD feed from WKU Basketball games and cropped it to 4:3 and lowered the picture quality severely). They also seemed to spend too much time pumping up P5 teams and conferences instead of focusing on the teams and conference that were actually playing the games.
With the American Sports Network, it is basically what the SEC Network was (when it was an OTA network) but Nationwide. You don't have to have cable TV or the internet to watch it, just a good old fashion antenna.
Both have the perks.

I get 1 or 2 C-USA games on a local OTA station every week. I never see other G5 leagues on local stations. It's a moo point though if UAB drops football.

With Directv I can get just about all CUSA games below is a screen capture on my TV of games listed....
ALL FIVE CUSA match-ups are on real TV where you can flip the channel with a click of a button and record to a DVR
Below is the SBC and if you look close...almost everyone of these are ooc games or they wouldn't be on TV
And as you will notice in the below chart Western's basketball is back on Fox Sports. Would not happen in the SBC because of espn

That's not true I have a internet connection or I wouldn't be typing this ..TW/RoadRunner. I also must have TW cable to get espn3 or watchespn.
I can not connect to espn3 and there are millions like me
It cost me .43cents a day to get the FOX Sports package...$13 a month and I'm sure it's close to the same for most if not all cable providers
