My bad. I was at Disney World last week, so I forgot what day the FSU/Louisville game was played.

I guess it's possible that the allegations are true, but I hope not.

RE: Chris Rabb - MAJOR Problem (connected to Jameis Winston point shaving allegations)
Since I'm not all that familiar with the NCAA rules, I figure I'll throw this out for someone else that might know...

Assuming gambling on college sports is something that would affect his eligibility, and assuming an investigation finds that he did participate in such an activity, does that mean that UAB has to forfeit any wins in which he played, since he would have been ineligible as soon as he started gambling? Or does the ineligibility kick in at the time the offense is identified?

Before it comes up, I understand and appreciate the concept of "innocent until proven guilty", and I'm certainly not saying that he did anything wrong. This is much more related to what is the worst possible outcome directly related to this situation.

Thanks!

Knowingly playing a player that did this would be more costly.

And any player betting on college sports is in violation, his team or not.

Sit him and play Trey or Pickren, I have a hard time believing this but there is a trail.

When did FSU travel ? Why would Rabb need to pay Winston ? If my wolfpack brethren needed $5k, right now, then I'd be driving at the physical capability of my vehicle to get it there. But there fodamshore wouldn't be a wire transfer.

It's a trap.

RE: Chris Rabb - MAJOR Problem (connected to Jameis Winston point shaving allegations)
Chris and Jameis are the level of friends that I don't think Chris would bet against Jameis in a game situation unless something was previously arranged. According to the story Rabb bet on all kinds of stuff and pretty frequently, why would he chose to bet against his best friend?

It makes a little bit too much sense for my liking. Let's hope it's all a bunch of crap from the source

RE: Chris Rabb - MAJOR Problem (connected to Jameis Winston point shaving allegations)
He didn't. He bet that FSU wouldn't get the expected number of points in the first half... and they didn't. What is being implied is that Jameis kept them from making those points in the first half, and then had the second to be sure that FSU won, and that Rabb knew it. Perhaps that Rabb laid some money for Jameis that didn't involve Jameis dealing directly with a bookie.

Rabb wiring money to Jameis afterward is what makes it look suspicious for some kind of monkey business. Rabb betting on college football at all is what could put him on the bench.

Timing of this smells. A nice convenient paper trail at Western Union, seems too convenient. Lets see the video tape footage from Western Union... I doubt it exists.
