Legit shot to be 9-3. We should crush Tulane and USF. Not sure if UCONN is a threat as UCF played awful vs them.
Team phoned it in the last couple games after the Louisville game eliminated possible bowl game. CJF will correct errors from tonight and team should be more focused and sharp the final three games compared to last year.
What errors? I saw a good Temple defensive front playing tough run defense. And I saw the Tigers playing tough defense. When we needed to open the playbook, we did.
Victory!!!!! Just enjoy it. Every game unfolds differently. Not many teams try to throw the ball 30 times on the road against a good defense.
Hey, I''m enjoying the heck out of this win, but come on. I saw plenty of missed blocks on O and over pursuit on D. There WERE errors.

6-3 (4-1).
10. @ Tulane
11. South Florida
12. UConn
Remaining on the schedule. We have the easiest path on paper to the conference championship. If everything plays out we could be sitting @ 9-3 (7-1) (AAC Champs or co-champs) with a chance for a 10th win in our bowl game.
The program just took a HUGE step forward with this win. Hard not to just stand and clap wherever you are after the win.

I just want to take this opportunity and mention how blown my mind was at the deftness with which Coach Fuente played his opponent on the clock management front. I can't believe he made Temple take the time-outs I was screaming for us to call!!!!!!! Brilliant tactician!!!!

I was hoping for 5-7 at the beginning of the year. Fuente is easily a year ahead of schedule. As far as I'm concerned from tonight forward is gravy. 8-4 (or better) is more likely to happen than not...... Unbelievable.

That is what the miserables don't understand. They think the QB has to perform like Aaron Rodgers every game. Otherwise, he is 'ineffective'. They have no concept of managing the game and avoiding the things that will cause your team to lose the game. Lynch didn't have big numbers, but he only made 1 mistake. And he got away with it.
Nicely put....Paxton wasn't perfect, but he didn't beat himself. Well said!

RE: ***Official Memphis @ Temple Game Thread***
I'd call last night a "beautiful" win. Going into the game, i figured it would be low scoring game. Temple hit us in the mouth first with 10 straight points early, but the tigers once again didn't fold. They responded with points on the board which was tough, because temple's defense is very good. The tiger defense really locked in the 2nd half. The offense moved the ball on that last drive to get that game winning field goal, and the tiger kicker delivered. What the tigers did is "grind" out a victory on the road for 6th win which makes them bowl eligible.
To me, it was a beautiful win. We are not Alabama. We are Memphis. Let's not forget that we were one of the worse college teams for the last couple years. Now we are getting road wins and have rattled off 3 straight wins. That hasn't happened in 6 long years. If the tigers can take care of business in tulane, that would be 4 straight wins. Then when our team comes back to the LB on 11/22, maybe we can get more fans (besides our hardcore group) to come to the game. We haven't had 4 wins in the row since 2003.
