you didn't read this thread or that page did you?

I did, its a horrible power ranking based solely on stats. Nothing about strength of schedule or the fact GS gets a pass on Ark St. and ULL. Great for the SBC but the formula is obviously heavily flawed when Miss St is not even top 15.

So you just feel they should not do this poll? It is based on stats and Miss St isn't in the top 15 of the cumulative stats. And I'm sure our offensive stats wouldn't be much different if we did play Ark State or UL.

They already have a ranking that takes SOS into account, and Miss St is number 1. It is just a fun/different ranking they do. Not sure why your panties are in a twist over this.

Issue being they are calling it Power Rankings. If they want to call it Offense/Defense comparative analysis have at it, but to call it Power rankings without taking into account losses and opponents is laughable.

well you should email NCAA and take it up with them.

not sure why the appy fan and ulala fan are getting all up in arms. all the GS fans know this is solely based on stats, and is just something cool to look at.

And arstatefan.... I guess we will have to just see about that.

first of all congrats any positive pub for the conference is good pub. Next if you do not want to be refer to as South Georgia then don't refer to us out of our University athletic name thanks in advance. Oh and if you don't know it its. Cajuns, Ragin Cajuns or Louisiana Ragin Cajuns.

I only refer to you guys as ulala when some of you posters on here whine and cry about our schedule or whatever else it is certain fans of your decide to whine about when it comes to the mighty ulala!

You can feel free to refer to us as South Georgia if you are so inclined. It certainly won't hurt my feelings or offend me in any way.

Our offense is a running machine with a dominating OL, QB and game changer at RB. If TX St gave up 640 yrds to NMSU, we won't have any trouble running for 400 plus. I will gladly eat crow and celebrate ULL's championship if we lose.

I wouldn't do that, but just a warning and other SBC schools that have been here for a while can attest Cajun fans will take over a thread about Jesus if we are called out of our name in the thread and it becomes a name thread and we don't need any more of those.

ALL power rankings are subjective. It's supposed to be for fun. The NCAA's happens to take SOS out of the equation and base it solely on statistics.

I'm not sure if these rankings warranted a thread, but what's with all of the hissing and scoffing? I think even GSU Eagles understands what these rankings are.

It's a joke and not worthy of discussion. You have to dig hard to find ludicrous and meaningless rankings like these.

dig hard? it was on the front page of ncaa.com

Yep, and that's why they are discussed in every major publication or ESPN daily right? These rankings mean nothing in the scheme of voting and the NCAA playoffs.03-lmfao

no **** Sherlock.

Move along folks, nothing here to see except more pleas from GSouthern fans for attention!07-coffee303-yawn03-zzz
