Marshall game
--Temporary hiatus break--

Does anyone have any inkling as to what time the Marshall game will be? I am thinking about making the trip, although am under some major time/travel constraints due to work and stuff.

Hoping for a night game.

Thoughts?

It's a Fox regional network game ... so would think most likely start is the 11am CT time slot.

Can't imagine any scenario in which it's a night game - but I guess you never know.

RE: Marshall game
Night game would likely be cold. Daily averages for Huntington are a high of 59 and low of 36. That's how I grew up cheering for football, but definitely not Texas-style weather.

Unfortunately, it's probably another couple of weeks before game times are set. The schedule actually says it's FSN or FS1. As a point of reference, next week's Marshall/FAU game is on Fox Sports 1 at 3:30pm. If Rice and Marshall take care of their schedule, that could be a decent demand game for a later time slot.

It's a bit ridiculous we're still waiting for the timing of the Homecoming game, which is just 3 weeks away...and it would be criminal for a homecoming game to be scheduled for an 11:00am start time. I know TV dictates, but a morning start for Homecoming? Please, no.

+1. If it makes us feel any better, the SEC also plays start time roulette every week.

Of course their games are on ABC, CBS, and ESPN. Our start times are being dictated by regional FCS, CBSCS, and CSN.

Thanks. Cant really get into HTS until the afternoon with my current schedule. Is there a recommended airport other than HTS that would be reasonable? Take a night flight over and drive in the morning.

Sucks to not know. Work schedules and small airports don't mix.

Price of having games on TV... have to wait until 12 days before to find out the game time.

Charleston is less than an hour's drive east of Huntington. I'm also thinking that I've heard before that is where Rice athletics tends to fly through, instead of Huntington.
