ESPN3 = Only ESPN3.com programming

WatchESPN = ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPNNews, ESPNetc programming that your cable package has on top of ESPN3.com programming

But the EMU game is on ESPN3.com so not sure that it matters for this game.

You can watch ESPN3 via WatchESPN, but WatchESPN is not supported by all carriers. You can only watch it through WatchESPN if ESPN royally blesses your carrier.
I have WOW and they aren't on the WatchESPN list of carriers. I get to ESPN3 through the website.

Exact same situation with me. Just can't watch it on my phone because you need the WatchESPN app. That app does not work if you don't use a supported carrier.

Holy crap! My head is spinning with all of this! 03-drunk LOL We do have a Roku but I have no idea how that even works. I leave the tech stuff to my husband & my sons!

Met huskiebob and Baltimore huskie at the last game at EMU. We usually outnumber EMU fans but might be different this year as we're not playing on black friday

It was great meeting you and other Huskie fans - that would have been my bowl game (I usually get to an average of 1 per year) but then the Orange Bowl came along :) Hope some of you can make it to Western this year for the Black Friday Bowl - I am going to try to do crabcakes again on the grill!

There are no restrictions on MAC games that are ESPN3.com-only. I don't subscribe to ANY ESPN channel at home thru my barely-nothing cable.

I can watch all MAC games by going to ESPN3.com -- UNLESS that MAC game is aired on ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU/ESPNews/ABC. If it's only on ESPN3.com -- you can watch it. Simple as that.

Actually it is not that simple. Your internet provider must be on their list of "approved" internet providers. Comcast is on there as are many others. BUT when we first got our new internet provider, it was not on the list & we were unable to get ESPN3.com until our provider applied & was approved. Weird , I know.
