Everyone connected with the private event is always close-mouthed about details but I'm pretty sure that Tricia's starting five consisted Reecher, Monakana, Rasmussen, Zanoguera, and Harris.

If you thought that Toledo's play was pretty inconsistent in the first half because of our youth, you'd probably be right, and if you thought that the team played much better in the second half you'd probably be right again.

I was at yesterday's practice and saw that Elena (sans brace) was working with the trainer and I saw some encouraging signs: She was passing the ball without any visible distress, bouncing the ball off glass, again without any distress, and, most encouraging, she was dribbling back and forth between plastic cones as if the injury never happened.

Boyd was alternating with Harris at point guard and she is progressing well.

Inma looked sharp doing her best "Juice Brown imitation as she successfully and smartly passed to open teammates, but my new "favorite player" this week is and improved Monakana who is picking up the new offense and was hitting everything she threw up to the rim.

The girls are fired up for Saturday.

So why don't I hear anything about Anna Capatosto?

Ana is presently working with a group consisting of herself, Olivia Braun, Nancy Kessler, Jay-Ann Bravo-Harriott, and Jada Woody.

I wouldn't read anything negative into this as Ana is a very vocal team leader and her game experience translates into having another coach working with this very green group of players.

Wouldn't be surprised if she comes off the bench. You need someone who can provide a spark. While her outside shot was a bit odd, she can score points and there's little question about her effort.
