He had a helluva game. Congrats, sir. I suspect a lot of that QB controversy thing got spiked yesterday.

No, people will still want Favor, he's our savior.
Anyway, Cody's biggest problem is throwing under pressure. Good grief man, stop it. Just take the sack or run it. Don't throw it, just to throw it. You're killing me. A punt is not a bad thing. We have a defense that will give u the ball back. Stop giving away points and good field position. SMH
P.S. O-line, u must keep this man healthy. Good job by u too so far this year.

I was very proud of the line last night...Cody generally had a lot of time to throw. I was really afraid WKU had exposed our offense by figuring out our tendencies in the first half. The adjustments made on both sides of the ball were spectacular.

Wow! I have never seen that posted on BlazerTalk before now. Great job by the coaching staff.

I couldn't believe he only had three incompletions all game. Completing 88% of your passes is otherworldly. Hard to harp on the one really bad mistake when the rest was so amazing.

Hahaha. I hope not. As far as I go, I know I won't be anywhere close to that ledge.
I believe it was Western that hit on it last night (and if it wasn't, I apologize for the Geritol moment), but he mentioned how once you got past our starters, you could see the big drop off in talent. And, I agree. So, when a team that has several starters out struggles, but the coaching staff is smart enough to change their own play calling (defensively) and alignments, coverage disguises, pressure tactics, etc. to take a team that was thumping you around pretty well, and then hold them to only 6 offensive points and limiting the big plays in the second half, that's very good coaching.

That's where a little time will really help. If you look at the improvement that this coaching staff has made using the players we already had and what few they could recruit in short order, you can't help but feel hopeful about the potential when we've had a better season or two and they've got a couple of years of recruiting their own, hopefully better, recruits.

RE: very proud of cody
Cody had his best game by far as a Blazer last night. He managed the game superbly. I had really started to question his passing accuracy, but 20-25 is unreal. Hopefully, he will learn from the one big mistake. He ran the ball very well also, including a couple of times when he put his head down and took on defenders to try to get the first down. He showed more toughness last night than I've seen. Well done, young man.
BTW, let's not overlook the receivers. No drops last night. They were plucking the ball out of the air like they had glue on their hands.

RE: very proud of cody
Cody has looked good all season when he has time to make good decisions. When he is pressured, he reminds me a little of Rex Grossman with the Redskins. He makes some bad decisions and forces things instead of throwing the ball away. That's when u see him throw those ducks. Rex was good without pressure, but when they blitzed him, he would throw it like a little girl right to the other team. it was a little funny watching his eyes when the pressure was on.
