RE: Stony Brook beats Towson, 14-3
This looks like a 4-8 season -- if we can beat Elon and Rhode Island, neither of which is a sure thing given how flawed we are in line play and at QB. The D-line pretty much disappeared today too. (How John Desir made any plays this year? I can't remember any.)

Also, anyone know why were we using the freshman punter in the second half instead of Ryder?

Desir hasn't made many plays but he does have a lot of tackles. His role has changed this year as the nose guard, he's just supposed to tie up to blocker so the LBs can run free. Their O-line was slightly better than our D- line. Their D-line was a million times better than our O-line. I didn't have too much problem with D today. That's not the big issue against a team like this. Next week will be a different story.

We are just not a very good team right now.
Passing game is non existant. I don't know whether it's on QB, OL, or WR.
How bad is Brennan that he can't even earn a shot at any playing time?

It's on Frazier first, then the O-line. When he gets time, he doesn't make good throws. When he rolls out, the receivers need to shorten their routes and come back to the ball. I don't understand why we ran any routes over 15 yards. We couldn't run today against a strong O-line that overpowered us. Then you add the drop by Vallelly and Jackson (6th string FB), the five men in the backfield penalty that cost us a touchdown, and you have CF of an offense.

It was brutal watching it live. Just brutal. Not sure what else they can do. If you go to Brennan behind this OL that also lost RG Schunke to a knee injury today, he'll be running for his life. But if Frazier continues to give away points in the red zone with turnovers, I don't know how you can keep going with him. You can rotate QBs, but then you know which guy is going to throw and which is the runner.

It all goes back to the O-line. When you graduate five seniors, don't bring any transfers, start two freshmen tackles, you're asking for trouble. I also don't understand their hesitancy to play Marquel Dickerson. He got four carries in the first half and zero in the second when Victor was going nowhere.

You are correct,Matt, about watching it live. It was painful.
I was glad when it was over.
