Yes, You are correct about being able to return something without a receipt. If you bring back an item they can scan it & then they HAVE the item number.
I am not returning an item, therefore they cannot scan it & get the number.
I am dealing with Costco Customer Service via email.
They apparently need it... because they are asking me for an item number to proceed. I am just trying to do what they are asking me to do...give them an item number. I think that they will probably contact the manufacturer on my behalf.

When I get this issue resolved, I will post contact info for how to get replacement parts in case anyone else has a problem or something breaks down the road.

I have confidence that Costco will make it right for me with manufacturer. :-)

Does every tent have some sort of flaw or is just random? Does anyone have a tent that has no flaws?

I have used my tent 3 times and have not noticed any issues at all.

My tent works great. Used it 2x now

Really appreciate all the heavy lifting with the manufacturer and Costco you're doing HFA... also appreciate the continued updates. Thanks!

Anyone know if Costco will ever stock these Coleman tents again? The business mind in me thinks that if a store quickly runs out of a popular item, they would bust their tail to get it re-stocked as quickly as possible. More sales = more revenue. But, what do I know?

I would expect something before the next season...everyone is already onto Christmas decorations.

I am hoping - and I have expressed this to Costco's main buyer - that they will have them again next summer. I have been working with Costco via email & told them there were many who missed out due to how quickly the item sold out & we hoped Costco would have them again next summer.

Actually Bossman, Costco is really doing most of the work. They contacted the manufacturer/distributor /main company (which is actually NOT Coleman) on my behalf & I have a replacement leg on the way to me. Should be here by next week. Thankfully, my husband is handy enough to take the frame apart enough to replace the defective leg.

Let me know what you want to do - I will pass on the 2 emails you will need to get a replacement leg or frame.

I think there may just be a few random canopies with a leg locking issue. HOPEFULLY it is very few so Costco will have them again next summer.

At this point I have a problem with one leg not locking & bossman has the same problem with his. Haven't heard anyone else having an issue so that's good.
