How much $ has Vegas made on each Conference this year?
With all the upsets and Divisional dominance this year, I wonder how Vegas is doing? It would be interesting to know which Conference has made Vegas the most $ this year and the last couple. BCS vs Playoff Era. I have no idea how it shakes out but the betting line seems to be uncanny for predicting margins.

Whichever has made the most should simply be whichever it bet on the most. They try to arrange it so there is about equal bet on each side of a spread.

Not quite. They try to arrange it so that there is a profit on one side of the spread and the profit is on their side. If the bets are equal, they get no revenue.

That's why they make a lot of money when popular teams lose. Bettors overbet more popular teams. When a popular big-name program (college, pro, whatever) has a bad year, a lot of sucker bets are placed and the bookies make a lot of money.
