Memphis has great basketball and the B12 is a participant in the Liberty bowl. They have some intangibles that could be attractive but don't have the football of UC.

Memphis has a winning record against UC, just curbed stomped UC and has never had access like UC. It is also in the heart of SEC country. I am biased, yes, but I vote Memphis.

One game and one season means nothing to conference realignment. Also, Memphis won it's first 8 games against UC between 1966-74. Since then, Cincinnati is 13-11 versus Memphis. Everyone knows Cincinnati was a crappy football program before Rick Minter arrived in the mid-90s. It's what we've done since then, and especially in the past 10 years, that is appealing to a P5 conference.

Memphis has lost more games to Southern Miss than any other school other than Ole Miss. And Southern Miss has a winning record against Memphis, Louisville, ECU, Tulane, Houston, and UCF, and surprisingly close records vs. Miss St, FSU, Cincinnati, NC State, and Virginia Tech. So obviously they deserve first crack at moving up, and deserve Memphis' spot in the AAC. 05-stirthepot
