Cuse: Lining Up A Killer Class
Still a few weeks to go but one thing is obvious Coach Robinson is a star in the home of the recruits. They are starting to get recruits to decommit from other BCS conferences to play for the Cuse next year. They are in the final 2-3 for TE Gronkowski and in the final 2-3 for numerous other 3 star type kids. This is shaping up to be the best class in 7 or 8 years. They are coming back!
The ride up will be sweet.

I hope he can turn it around at Syracuse. It's been strange to see eastern football exist so long without Syracuse having some kind of impact. The bottom of the BEast being Orange for the last few years has been weird beyond belief.

Glad to hear we're finally gonna get the rivalry to be interesting for once both teams good at the same time.

It looks like all our schools are going to have a good recruiting year. I guess the visibility and success of the Big East has helped everyone.
It will only get better.

Not nitpicking here, but SU has really only been at the bottom of the BE 1 year, and that was last year after going 1-10. This year, we share that distinction with Uconn. It has been a while since we were a factor in east coast football however. That we cant deny.

Next year you play at the Rent and we will pay you back for the loss this year. Unlike this year, we will have a real QB next year since we just got a commit from a 4 star JC QB.

Syc has long way to go. When Temple left BE, Syc was behind them.

Temple may have beaten Syracuse your last year in the BE, but Syracuse has hardly ever been behind temple. In fact, the year that Temple beat SU, SU went on to beat a ranked BC and stopped them from taking the BE championship with them to the acc. Syracuse won 4 BE games that season while Templ won 1, against Syracuse. SU also went to a bowl that season, while temple stayed home, again, as usual. Keep in mind that USF beat WV this year, but who in their right mind would say that USF is ahead of WV?
It is Temple who has a long way to go. SU still has the benefits that come with being in a bcs conference. Temple will be playing in the MAC.

in fact, Temple knocked out BC QB [broke his arm on sack] & then SYC beat BC who had no QB. Temple beat SYC 2 times at the end, Made SYC vote real easy. Vote Temple out because they passed us.

Syracuse was Big East Co-Champs in 2004, maybe only in your mind did Temple pass Syracuse.

You are just bitter because your team was kicked out. You cant be foolish enough to think that Temple has actually passed Syracuse or any other program. Its temple we'er talking about here, not Rutgers. lmfao lmfao

That would be correct Jackson. Robinson is the leading QB at this time. he may turn out to be pretty good too. He lead the Cuse to its lone touchdown against Rutgers when Perry Patterson could do nothing. I only wish that coach Robinson would have let him get some more playing time this season, maybe even start the last couple of games since we knew there would be no bowl invite. Waiting in the wings behind Andrew Robinson is a stud from Pennsylvania, named Cody Catalina and one from Brooklyn named David Legree, who can run. We should be in good shape at the qb. We should be improved on the offensive line since most of those guys are graduating. They were terrible.

Also, Delone Carter rushed for over 700 yards as a True Frosh (he shared carries with Soph Brinkley)...it may not be as impressive as Slaton/Rice nums as Frosh--however, the Syracuse OL was really bad and alot of teams stacked the box. We redshirted several Freshman OL in 06. We expect 2 of them to break into the starting lineup in 07. The OL next year should be improved--which will allow Carter to get free more. If we get 4/5 star TE Gronkowski that will be a key to our rebuilding. Alot of this hinges on how fast QB Robinson catches up to the speed of the game. Our WRs should be much improved: JUCO sensation Taj Smith (who was injured and lost for the season in late Sept) and Mike Williams expect to be stars next season.
Syracuse plays a good but manageable early OOC schedule: Washington, @Iowa, Illinois
Hopefully we can get out to at least a 2-1 start.
