Towson is really bad. Those transfers who all graduated last year (and West - don't think he transferred in) were the team and they didn't build off of it.

I've heard some TU fans mention this...Ambrose seems like a bit of a jerk. His style of "encouragement" isn't inspiring his guys. Players look lost.

Maybe, but our ranking will matter if we position ourselves for the playoffs. A ranked 8-win team has a better chance than an unranked 8-win team. Another purpose of my posting the ranked teams losses is to show that our bad loss stands in good company with other top-25 teams. #5 McNeese State lost by 16 to an unranked team. #12 S. Illinois lost by 28 (as we did) to a top team. It happens.

BTW, SBU is leading Maine 10-7. Maine scored on the 2nd play of their first possession and has done very little ever since. Game is on American Sports Network (CSNMA+ channel 578 on FiOS).

Stony Brook beat Maine 19-7.

Even though we beat Stony Brook, they could easily end 6-2 in the CAA based on their remaining schedule. This could be a problem for us, playoff wise, if we finish below them in the final standings.

Given the state of the CAA this year, I still believe we need to finish 9-3/6-2 to make the playoffs this season.

I agree. Nova & UNH look super solid. UR looks good too.

I think Nova is a tough game, but if we can bounce back in front of a big homecoming crowd who knows. After that I think we run the table. Richmond doesn't look as strong as I thought they would.

JMU looking better as well. We play them on their HC as well, a la Stony Brook & UNH.

Do not sell UR short, they have a great passing game, and pass blocking.........

The JMU QB has great numbers, and guess what---his first year in their system.

UR is very good, but loss QB Strauss for a month to a fractured ankle yesterday. Will have to see if UVA transfer Rocco can keep their QB play at as high a level.

#2 EWU and #8 SELA lost today. #20 SIU is down by a bunch late.

UR won by 20.
Albany won
JMU narrowly beat a bad Charlotte team allowing basketball score points.
Nova won.
Maine upset URI late.
SBU gave UNH all they could handle but fell by 8.

Six teams above W&M in the AGS poll lost (#4 EWU; #8 Mont.; #9 SELA; #11 SDSU; #15 SIU; #18 Bethune-Cookman) We should move up in the polls a bit this week. It still looks as if we need to win out to make the playoffs, but given how the team is developing, that doesn't seem like too much of a stretch.
