Nice recruiting weekend for West Virginia
Hopefully this is the shut-down corner that has been so desperatly needed since Pac Man went to the NFL

also added one of the top safeties in Fla...looks like the Rod saga may have actually helped recruting

I heard you guys are in the Noel Devine sweepstakes. Is that true.

Also Victor Anderson took an official visit to Kentucky this weekend. My guess though since Rich Rod is coming back Vic will be at WVU in the Fall.

Also he did not win Mr. Football in Kentucky, that went to fellow 4 Star recruit Doug Beaumont at Louisville Male High School, he is a Louisville recruit.

I have no link but, I have read that Noel Devine is very interested in WVU, he is however going to prep school in upstate NY. Hopefully next year we could see him commit to WVU.

Coach: Devine favors 3 schools
North's Iandoli says UF, W.Va., LSU lead

Week after week this past season, one question filled the heads of high school football fans in Southwest Florida: How many yards will North Fort Myers' Noel Devine rack up this week?

Now that Lee County's most accomplished running back's high school career is complete, the biggest question remaining is which college will he go to and when will we know his decision?

Although no commitments have been made, North coach James Iandoli told The News-Press on Monday that three schools have the inside track

I'm not going to get too excited. When they commit and then prove themselves on the field is the time to get excited. The recruiting rankings of Jason Gwaltney (5 star) and Steve Slaton (2 star) is too fresh in the memory.

Thing is though Bit on video Devine looks super impressive. If WVU can get that guy on campus in the spread then the sky is the limit. I don't like to tout a lot of guys because of highschool competition but Devine is a kid that looks unreal on tape. WVU offense could be scary good with a guy like Devine in the backfield.

My point is Devine looked a helluva lot more impressive than Gwaltney did "on film". Devine is in the mold of a Slaton, which would fit your offensive scheme perfectly. Plus he has more speed than Slaton, and slaton is already a very fast back. Then again its just my personal opinion. I would love to see Devine in a cardinal uniform I know that much.

-- Its a rumor that is out there....don't forget his brother is currently on the WVU roster and the rumor is Jason is living with him in morgantown....Wouldn't shock me if Rod gave Gwaltney the Brandon Barret treatment where the kid has to "earn" his scholorship back and untill then he is walkon and will have to pay his way...a kind of see how bad he wants it approach

-- say what you will about Gwaltney but the kid is talented...he basically ran over the Maryland defense as a true freshman before he got hurt...I don't think he's Steve Slaton...but he has talent

Gwaltney is a nice player BUT Devine if he keeps his head on straight and his nose clean is the next Reggie Bush. There is NO comparision between the two players.

Why has WVU not offered him a scholarship yet? For that matter, none of the three schools he says he is interested in; WVU, Florida, and LSU; have offered him a scholarship. What's up with that?
