How about possible unethical recruiting practices?

I'd be curious to hear about these possible unethical recruiting practices.

Sounds like the text book description of 'sour grapes'.

They (WMU) got something we (EMU) want so it (something, in this case recruits) must be tainted (recruiting violations, poor character athletes, etc.).

Dear Ubish,
Got that from your Bronco Stampede. I don't remember, but it was in one of the debates about Coach Fleck. Someone suggested that the reason recruiting was going so well was that Coach Fleck was promising pro careers to recruits. Someone then said, that would be completely unethical if it was happening and maybe even illegal. No one over there has brought it up since, and that was a few months ago if I remember correctly.

Ken, Purdue kicked the living s*** out of us last year. Did they all of a sudden get really bad this year?

Are Morgan State and ODU juggernauts?

What's Florida ranked?

Laughable. WMU fans, disregard this. Us EMU fans do not condone baseless rumors.

also, I dont' know if you all have poked around on the stampede lately but it's not exactly the washington post. I wouldn't trust anything that gets posted around there, especially if it's about Fleck. That said, I think CC was a great hire for you guys. Remember things do not change overnight. WMU lost by more than 50 to IOWA last year... IOWA! Buffalo also shut us out 33-0 on homecoming. It takes time to get systems and players in place.

Two years ago. A lot can change in two years.

You did that with MSU as well. 2 years ago they were a bad 6-6 team with a stout defense. Now they are easily one of the 10 best teams in country.

Again, 2 years is a long time.

I agree Sam but if EMU went to W. Lafayette, based on what you've seen this year, how do you think we'd do? Purdue is basically Purdue- a lower tier Big 10 team, like they were 2 years ago.

Dear Bob,
Do you ever go on the Western website? I took that from their website. So if it is a baseless rumor it is their problem. I'm just reporting what was discussed on their site.

Dear Steve,
You may want it to be sour grapes, but if you read what I said previously, it came from the mouths of the Broncos, not me.

Probably some disgruntled outsider. Unless there's proof, I treat that stuff as hogwash. You certainly don't trash someone's reputation based on "hearsay." Instead of trying to knock Fleck down, we need to try to raise ourselves to his level. Only hard work, talent, and nice facilities to "sell" will allow us to compete on the recruiting trail.

Well that escalated quickly. On a more serious note I've heard rumors that Roback isn't injured. Anyone else hearing anything similar?

This season has been a soap opera since day one! CC if nothing else, has to get things under control. Things are looking dysfunctional and losing is not gonna help.

RE: Is CC Over His Head?
While watching the Florida game the SEC Network showed CC on the sidelines several times, and he looked like the preverbal "deer in the headlights." I feel for the man and have to wonder if he is kicking himself for leaving Drake.

This season is proving to be a bigger disaster than I thought at first, but CC has very little to work with. I doubt this team could win the GLIAC. This program is also more than just down-and-out; it's a train wreck and has been for decades. It will take a few years to turn around (don't expect much in 2015 either).

I know for a fact, Roback has a serious facial/eye injury, that is going to take time to heal, and he is very disappointed he's not able to play. so let's not start rumors, that are NOT true!
