Bring on the Harbaugh
I am glad to see that mICHIGAN is expected to get the coach that they want. Even as a SPARTAN who loathes all things mICHIGAN, I do hope that Harbaugh can return respectability to AA.

I understand that a return to respectability for mICHIGAN may spell the end of the Michigan State football resurgence. Only time will tell. Until then i will keep the faith in SPARTY and coach Dantonio.

Go State!
Beat mICHIGAN!

We're losing Narduzzi and mICHIGAN is getting a competent well established head coach... ****... but hey, I'm looking forward to Urban Meyer vs Harbaugh vs Dantonio.

As a Sparty Alum even I'm glad to see this for UM. I was back in Michigan, Christmas shopping while visiting family all over Detroit / Ann Arbor area and I've seen something I've never seen in my lifetime-- mICHIGAN fans are ashamed to wear their UM gear and haven't been wearing it!

I'm hoping that with a new coach they can put their UM gear back on--it's not even much fun to beat them now! Here's to restoring our epic battles!

Will be high expectations for $8m a year. I think he's going to earn it, though.

Still mindboggling to me how much money boosters are willing to dump into the coffers for a winning program. The college sports arms race is moving full speed ahead.

I am sure Harbaugh will do great, but here is an interesting thought.

What if he fails? What does Michigan do then?

This conference is only getting better, Fitz is going to need more help from the NU administration and alums. That $220M athletic facilities project could not have come at a better time. Can't wait for 2015, Wildcats open with Stanford!!!

RE: Bring on the Harbaugh
KU has done some stupid contracts with their head coaches (see Gill, Turner and Weis, Charlie), but the Ferentz contract is an albatross. Some of the stuff he has in his contract is insane.

Great hire by Michigan. I can't see him failing. Just too competitive. Turned around every team he has run. The B1G is building up a list of excellent coaches. The results should show on the field the next few years.

Yeah, well the heat is being turned up and it has been noted how it is becoming tense between Ferentz and Barta (The AD). He is halfway through the contract so buyouts are becoming doable especially considering how much of a loss it is to have attendance drops at the games.

The longer they let this slide, the bigger they are going to have to make the next hire. So either way, works for me.
