RE: Open Thread - Week 4
I am *so* *** **** sick of braindead self-destructive penalties against VT.

I've already reached my tolerance limit for this game.

RE: Open Thread - Week 4
That is two touchdowns thrown away on bad passes, and a free 3 points for VT on LINING UP offsides on a stop on third down.

Unbelievable. How infuriating must it be as a HC to put all your players in a position to win and they can't ****ing execute?

Oh and joy of joys ... delay of game #3. Last year a parade of false starts ... this year a parade of delay of game.

I'm done watching this.

Pitt marches down the field to kick a FG as time runs out in the first half. Pitt 17-7. Pitt gets the ball to start the second half.

Not a fan of Syracuse's white helmets. They look like some generic expansion team helmet before the team gets their actual design.

A sick one handed reception by the Iowa WR sets up a Hawkeye TD. Pitt responds with a FG. Pitt up 20-14.

They're letting Maryland get away with huge holds. Meanwhile Syracuse gets a touchdown negated by a really really weak holding call. And now they're called for another hold right after. Now it's 2nd and goal from the 29-yard line. The announcers are calling the refs out too.

Earlier in the game Shafer got flagged for yelling at the refs too.

Big 10 crew. What can we expect? And Big 10 really really needs some wins this week.

Hunt throws a 88 yard pick 6 late in the half. In a projected close game a huge one play turnaround like that normally is the difference. Instead of a close game Maryland is up 31-13 at the half.

RE: Open Thread - Week 4
This isn't even fun to listen to on radio. Different year ... same script. VT can't stop it ... but they don't need to. GT is all too happy to stop themselves.

Long TD? How about a stupid low block way down the field? Take those 7 points away too. Short FG from a kicker who can drill 55? Let's see him hit the upright hard enough to shake the goalposts. So much for getting 3 of those 7 points back.

21 points left on the field. 3 points spotted to the other team from a moronic offsides. I don't care who you are ... you don't win spotting somebody TWENTY FOUR F***ING POINTS.

I hate this game for Pitt, the lead just isn't there to feel secure at any point because of how conservative we are

Yeah there have been some bad calls against SU, but the refs didn't throw a pick 6 and the refs didn't block the punt that led to a TD.
But the last time SU had a block punt, it was against Rutgers in 2012 and the TD was the difference in the game. SU lost.

I'm totally not feeling good about this game... We need to step up on offense, or get a huge stop if Iowa goes for it.

Wow ... VT one-upped GT on self destruction. Chop block. False start. Ineligible receiver. Pick 6.

IMPRESSIVE.

MVP in the GT-VT game is the officials. GT has played penalty putrid. But VT was at least only very bad on penalties with their parade of substitution penalties. But with that series now both teams are penalty putrid.

And in a fluke play a fumble bounces right to the trailing VT QB who runs it in for a TD.

Well -- the GT offense is killing it on the phantom scoreboard today but hasn't scored a TD yet despite roughly 300 yards rushing. You're going to need to put one on the real scoreboard PJ if you wish to quiet down the grumbling.
