This isn't Iowa. The mascot is a Russian boar, not a farm raised pig.
There are, however, a large amount of dairy farms and chicken houses.
We all work them after we get off of work.
At Walmart.

Hahahaha ha well played sir

I'm a somewhat regular poster on Hogville . net

And, guys, please don't take some of the comments on that board personally/seriously. (some posters there had us "blowing out" Auburn in our 1st game)

Personally? I'm pretty dang cautious about this game... A lot of our Media/Fans are looking ahead to A&M, I just hope our Coaches/Players aren't.

From what I've seen of y'all, we had better be clicking on all cylinders, Saturday. I think many in our fanbase are a bit misguided. Nichols State was a joke, and Texas Tech was a lot worse than anyone expected this year (heck, our in-state FCS team UCA stuck with them).

IMO, y'all are much better Team than Texas Tech, and we better know that taking the field. I still am thinking Hogs win, but only by 7 pts. Nothing like "the blowout" alot are calling for. I think Vegas even has it wrong.

I won't wish you guys good luck this weekend, but will definitely wish you good luck on the season. Take it from one "semi-reasonable" Hog fan, this game is NOT to be taken lightly!

04-cheers

Only a fool would over look this game with NIU... And it's most certainly not a majority of the Arkansas fans. 05-nono

Of course are coaches aren't looking past NIU. Bielema is a former B1G coach who has had his own scare against NIU, Pittman coached at NIU when they beat Bama, Michael Smith has coached against NIU at his previous stops and Barry Lunney Jr played against NIU when we beat them 30-27. Half our staff has direct ties to NIU so even if they haven't flipped on the Orange Bowl recently they are still probably well aware of what a solid program NIU runs. The only people overlooking NIU are Arkansas fans that don't pay attention to CFB outside of their bubble.

Hogville, I wouldn't take very seriously.

I'd recommend you guys visit the secrant. The more sensible, smart Arkansas fan posts on that site. Arkansas has a board there as well.

Oh I was not blasting that board as a whole. I was making a point because we have a troll who only shows up on gamedays when NIU is "struggling" and just likes to bash us and how we are a terrible team. He claims he is an NIU alum and fan, but only shows up during the above mentioned times. Otherwise, he is never here when good things are happening.

Understandable. Ark State has had good years in the Sun Belt to be a tough mid-major (haven't followed them tho). But Arkansas trying to get their sh!t together the past couple years, understandably wouldn't want to play Ark State quite yet. To them it's probably "too soon"?

I've been shocked Illinois never played NIU in recent years, tho. Shocking. WMU has played Illinois more recently than NIU has!

WMU & CMU plays Michigan State or Michigan about every other year. Next year, Michigan State plays IN Kalamazoo AT WMU.
Unbelievable. Is it a 2 for 1? How does the money work out? Congrats on your road win.

Keep in mind that Waldo has a capacity of 30,200. That's 25% more seats than Huskie Stadium or 6200 more tickets they can sell. Makes a big difference when you're negotiating to get a school like MSU (or Illinois) to play at your place.
Huskie Stadium had over 30,000 unofficially for Maryland. Seating "under 30,000" is not an excuse for lack of scheduling. Despite all the talk of it. And Frazier obviously knows that. Excuses are cheap, and I am glad Frazier's not buying cheap excuses.
Maryland was an awesome game. Lights Out Shawne Merriman. Too bad we'll never see that number again without expansion. I was at the game an didn't have any issues on the West side. I hear the East side got to be pretty dangerous, especially with the only exits at the bottom of the stands. One of the reasons the Fire Marshall down graded us to 23,595.
