It isn't. Times are tough all over.

I've certainly gotten that same feeling looking at box scores from around the country. I don't know if this trend is really reversible or not. I hope our new AD will bring a bunch of new ideas. The main focus should be on getting younger people to the arena. Holding on to the UALR students, who now attend our games, the minute they graduate should be our first goal. The majority will end up living in Central Arkansas upon finishing school.

I think I will email mr. Denman the letter I sent to Peterson several years ago about increasing student and young adults attendance.

Great idea. I wish I had saved some of the suggestions I sent them over the past 13 years. Probably will come back to me at some point. Although 2 of them, finding a meeting place for the Tip-In Club in the arena and offering a mini season ticket plan have already been implemented in the first few days.

Somebody is actually thinking again out there! Isn't it great! You and I could be a couple of those guys from the Lollipop Guild dancing down the beginning of the yellow brick road!

That mini season ticket plan is a good suggestion. I'm glad they are implementing that. The idea has been around for many years now for professional and college teams, and I never understood why we didn't do it. Oh well, Change is good!

Never understood why we didn't do it? Never met Peterson huh?

I think the thought was "Some folks who buy season tickets now would choose to get a mini plan". Instead it should be "Some fans who buy mini plans might enjoy it so much they'll buy full season ticket packages".

RE: Intrim AD named
We definitely need some new thinking with regards to ticket prices and packages. Probably too late to do anything on ticket prices. Might be able to offer some single game promos though.

It's unlikely anyone would come in a lower season ticket prices- just tough to "give back" money you are already getting. The Rivalry Package was a great idea. I have not done the math- but I was told that the per game (19 home dates) price is a slight savings on walk-up prices while slightly more than season ticket holders who buy the same seats pay per game. If accurate that took some mathematical gymnastics and is away to make "everyone" happy. Certainly some season ticket holders would be pissed if folks who buy this new package got a better "deal" than they did.

Unfortunately we have plenty of seats. Would not be surprised to see a price reduction in season tickets next season. Holy cow, look at the interest the mini package has produced. Look at the interest fresh, open-minded thinking has produced. Denman might not have athletic experience, but he has plenty of business experience. Athletics is a business.
