RE: The ACC Divisions…..
Probably already done, but maybe set up groupings like so if the ACC goes with no divisions:

Group1
FSU
Clemson
GT
Miami
Louisville

Group2
UNC
Duke
Wake
UVA
NCSU

Group3
Pitt
Syracuse
Virginia Tech
BC
*Notre Dame

I already know this one won't fly, but this includes the 14 ACC schools with ND committing 4 of it's 5 annual games as a proxy 15th member. Doubt ND wants to restrict itself to the same 4 ACC schools, VT may not want to exchange ties to UVA and other southern schools for an annual game with ND and if NCSU considers itself a FB school first then it won't want to play in Group 2.

Frankly, I don't see how this works out.

Syracuse and BC as well. ACC North,

Boston College
Syracuse
Pitt
Notre Dame
Louisville
WVU
Virginia
Virginia Tech

This division can hold its own with any other in the nation.

I agree with Domer, it's crazy to expect Virginia to accept being placed in the North with those schools.
Haven't seen Terry around so I have to take up the cause. 04-cheers

If Notre Dame were to join full time, I don't think Terry would have a problem with that North Division. Maybe you can give us your reasoning why you don't like it?

It's not so much the division, it's that we're in one. But that division would be fine except it would be nice to have a Florida team for recruiting purposes.

People always suggest swapping Georgia Tech, but in reality the people at GT like being in the Coastal w/ Clemson as the cross-division opponent.

Nothing other than his own vivid imagination. Have you read his posts? My man is...umm...not the most mentally stable person on this board.

Literally everything boils down to the time the Clemson girls volleyball team was screwed by some highly controversial foot fault call or the time the ACC cheated the Tigers cheer squad out of top honors or the time the baseball team didn't get something it wanted, which was also a crime against humanity. All roads lead to secession, which only seems fitting for someone from South Carolina.

It's all looney land persecution complex bullshitt.

Good to see you around Doc. Glad you got over the depression you were obviously suffering from over Pitt giving up so much ( 03-lmfao) to join the ACC.

RE: The ACC Divisions…..
The solution is simple...

FSU - Miami
Clemson - VT
GT - UVA
Wake - Duke
NC State - UNC
Pitt - UofL
Cuse - BC

The only thing I would change for GT would be playing FSU every year. I'd definitely trade Miami for that. Maybe even VT, but I've grown to like the battle of the Techs over the years.

Switching divisions with Louisville - wouldn't that be the same as trading Miami and VT for FSU (and keeping Clemson)? Or do you think losing UVA, UNC and Duke is that big of a deal for GT fans? (Keeping in mind, you'd still get NC State and WFU in their place, plus a likely cross-over with UVA).

Besides Clemson and FSU, Duke and UNC are the two schools GT wants to play the most, particularly Duke. They have played Duke annually for a very long time dating from their SEC days.

I like GT playing UNC and UVA every year. I don't care as much about Duke other than the fact we've played them for 80 years. Also, I think Pitt will be another good long term matchup (similar to GT in many ways). I have no interest in playing Wake, Boston College or Syracuse every year.
