I was proud of how the Tigers played in Pasadena, but they still came out of there with a loss. We've had our share of "moral victories" over my time as a Tiger fan, only to come out and lay and egg in the following game. We also "almost" beat Central Florida & Louisville last year, but still ended up 3-9 for the year.

So, come on Tigers, break the cycle. Get the win at home against MTSU. Then, I might get excited about this season.

Well I understand how it can be when excitement doesn't pan out season after season and we have to watch the refs let people hit us in the head unpenalized.

But there seems to be much more excitement this year and there ain't nothing anybody can do to stop that train. It's rolling.

I have said all along that the next step for us is to win the games we are supposed to. This game is every bit as important as UCLA maybe even more. We need to reach a point where teams like MTSU come here thinking they don't have a great shot a winning.

I don't know what is more unsettling to me...being 1-5 vs MTSU or being 5-10 vs UAB.

Well, perhaps we just need to win the games that we're favored to win, rather than worrying about stealing a game that we're not.

Home games are MTSU, Houston, Tulsa, South Florida and UConn.
The farther Houston gets away from Kevin Sumlin the worse they become. Probable 5-0, possible 4-1, can't see any worse than that.

So overall Probable 8-2, worst case 7-4 for our remaining games. We do have a fortuitous schedule this year with no ECU and UCF games.

I don't think we know that there are 8 or 9 games we ought to win at this point. Especially not if we take a loss to MTSU.

The Middle game is huge for perception and keeping fans at the next game.

But...lay an egg with Middle and then beat mispiiiii and all is good.

Point being that it really is the season that matters...after all the ups and downs, here is to an overall much better season than the last...although for short term enthusiasm, rolling Middle indeed matters.

Get to 7-5 and the season was a great move up.
