Pat had a great game minus that miscue, by the way.

Starkville is a small town, but it has its charm. It is probably not as pretty as Auburn, but it is similar in many ways. There are several college town bars, but I can't vouch for them because I haven't been in years. If you like BBQ, Little Dooey's is what the locals swear by.

I have MANY friends and family members who are State fans. I'd love to ruin their weekend!

Little Dooey's is good. I went there about a decade ago (non-game related). Careful with the table though. My MSU friend went to sit down at the table, put his arm on the table to help get in the booth...our drinks went airborne.

Petty's has much better BBQ! not even close

I will have to watch the game on tv or listen on the radio. I wasn't expecting us to run over Troy and look like a football team this year (I did expect some improvement under Coach Clark though). So I signed up to work this weekend. Buddy had an extra ticket too, but I couldn't find any one to fill in for me.

Me + 2.
If I remember correctly from my last visit, the visitor sections are the last to get shade, but with it being 1:00 start, there probably won't be shade anywhere. Stupid question, but I assume green is the preferred color to wear (as opposed to gold or white)?

Seats in Sect. 24 Rows 17 and 18 plus one in Sec. 23.

Anybody tailgating before hand or know if there is a designated spot for visiting teams?

Little Dooey's is the traditional place near campus, and a lot of people swear by it. But as we know, BBQ is a topic that can argued for days with no result. Petty's is another place that some people swear by.

there's no "designated" area for visiting teams. our main tailgate area is The Junction which is on the south side of the stadium. That is where the majority of the tailgating takes place.

Isn't Little Dooey's the one the deep fries their ribs after supposedly smoking them? Coming from a BBQ fanatic/judge as myself, not bbq in my book

One good choice is to get the hell out of Starkpatch after the game and stop to eat in Columbus. Huck's, J. Broussard's, and Zachary's are good choices and probably won't have quite as much maroon around.
