"Equipment for making ice in Lawson Arena was damaged, but it should be fixed in time for the hockey season. An elevator was also damaged.

The pool requires substantial repairs that may take the entire semester."

Heard about this earlier this week, but had not seen any information put out before this.
From the sounds of it (through friends whose kids swimming and diving practice had to be rescheduled over to the Kalamazoo College pool), they were told that the basement was flooded with up to nine feet of water back on Monday, with the damage costs being quite substantial, and with the pool out of service until January.
The chiller for the ice arena is in the basement, but not sure if each side of the building has its own basement.
