Boy it was hot. I'm drained. Time to pass out on the bus.

I'm really stoked about our offense and that was my biggest concern.

We don't fumble on the 1, we win this game.

Glad to show we belong.

We get another shot to finish the deal in two weeks vs. GT. Man that loss hurt. Should have gone for it on 4th & 2 instead of kicking the FG. Got to close out games strong. We almost did the same vs. UF last year.

No, there are no moral victories. But, you got beat by a little with a team with more talent. The score was all about the depth. That depth gap was expected.

Even better, it was OOC so it was a good measuring stick moving forward.

I agree you guys gave us the game, but I was impressed with GSU. Our QB play was 1000x better than last year. His rust came off in the 2nd half but I will still say GSU outplayed us for 50 minutes and ran out of gas at the end. NCSU was lucky to come out with a W. I think it may be a long season for my Wolfpack. Good luck with the rest of your season.

GT struggled with Wofford for most of the game... I think Ga Southern has a good shot. Imagine the honeybee meltdown on North Ave if Southern won.

Boy was this proof football is a game of inches. Fumble on the 1 then on 3rd down on our second to last drive we come up two yards short of at least a first down if not TD by a shoestring tackle.

Geo south, I was disturbed by your players dropping due to "heat exhaustion" they were dropping from heat? They practice in Georgia... As well it was strange that they dropped everytime Ncstate got on a roll with the hurry up.

But if NC State makes that 4th and one at the GaSou 9-nine yard at the start of the fourth quarter......who knows?

Looked a lot more like they were trying to disrupt the rhythm of the offense.

In all honesty, I say that's fair play seeing as the offense plays in a way that is setup to prevent substations. If you are tired or hurt some, go down. That's fair enough.

I like you am really concerned but I'm hoping it was a depth issue ( which is expected)and not a conditioning one (which is unacceptable). I feel good and bad at same time. In my opinion we outplayed an improved NC State squad but my opinion is worth diddly I know. Where it counts ( the scoreboard) we lost and losing to anybody just sucks.

I was being a little sarcastic... Heart of Dixie had the point I was trying to make dead set, unlike Dixie though I don't think that's a classy or fair move, I started the game shaky on who to root for but when Ncstate started to show life I saw too many "injuries" to disrupt their rhythm and That turned my rooting to just Ncstate. Was a fun game to watch though

I don't think it's classy either, for the record.

I think it is every bit as fair as preventing your opponent from substituting though.

I think Georgia Southern's defensive players were just soft from not tackling at practice and having fun loving "players' coach" practice sessions. If you practice soft, you will get hurt when it's time to go for real.

You make zero sense and your basing this on what?

Monken would crush his players in practice and actually caused us to loose a few players along the way. Robert Brown ring a bell?

Our defense looked much better than last year.

I seriously can not believe you guys are saying some of this stuff. NCSU could sub D players at will. We all could see the GaSo guys were gassed. They didn't have the option/luxury to keep changing out players. You don't know if they just collapsed, for a sec, out of sheer exhaustion or if they really were cramping. They actually did have a couple injuries, mostly minor. This was not SFA vs A&M type stuff.

Jeezus, just turn on them because they lost by 1 and their D got tired. I guess TXST is not far enough removed from seeing our D run out of gas and lose in the last quarter as some of you are.

Very proud of the effort today. We could have easily won the game but we proved we belong on the field with FBS teams.

It was a disappointing loss and the defense just couldn't get it done in the 4th quarter. But the exposure should help recruiting and the school in general. The GSU-NC State game was televised on KDOC Channel 56, an over-the-air independent station in LA this morning. This means it was available on every TV in Southern California. It was the only college football game available on every TV in Southern California this morning. I even saw a Georgia Southern University promotional TV commercial during the game. That is not something you see every day in Southern California.
