Ridiculous - DNR or Coaching Staff????- no
Who's to blame? Yesterday and today - no online articles leading into the season opener. Not exactly a great way to promote interest. Couldn't the DNR use something from earlier in the week? Is this due to media and player lockdowns by the new coaching staff.

The press is a key part of marketing your program. New coach and playng UMD tomorrow and not a word from the local paper in 2 days leading up to the opener? Not good for the DNR, JMU football or us fans.

I agree the DNR should be able to provide a story about the game itself without having to talk to players and coaches. How about a discussion comparing offenses and defenses? The problem is many in the sports media know very little about how the game is actually played. They would rather write about the people playing or stir up some drama then really break down a game and talk x's and o's.

Also there was absolutely NO mention of JMU football on WHSV TV last night. There was a big VT piece though. Hopefully tonight there will be a big JMU piece!

Channel 6 out of Richmond did a preview of all the state schools last night. Had about a 3-5 minute piece on JMU.

You would think that the "Juice" would be overflowing in and around Harrisonburg and the football team?

I think people know around here know about the game. I've heard a lot of hubbub around town. There's been a piece in the paper every day this week.
