Dude what are you talking about? Up until last year his school would have been on the outside looking in like Cincy and UCONN. Now they get to sit at the big boy table. Why shouldn't he be happy/excited about it?

I don't know why you're telling me any of that.

Guy said his primary concern was that Petrino was in a good place in his life. Yea, I'm sure.

Ok then. I thought you were talking about him saying how much he appreciated being in the ACC and you going into your anti-ACC mode.

As for the Petrino thing, it's going to take years before people believe.

I have no problem with him hiring Petrino. None. Just think it was a flat out lie that he actually cared about Petrino as a person more than how his coaching would benefit the football program.

As for UL being happy? Obviously. Their administration and fans mention it every 5 seconds. I believe it. I don't think it's BS. I just think it's excessive at times. But I didn't think Jurich went too far with it.

"Good place in his life" = Not dating any of the athletic department staff. Got that Bobby.

FSU,CU,UofL look ready the Atlantic division needs rebalence.

Yeah, it's imbalanced but it is set up very nicely to put a strong school against an undefeated school or 1 loss school in the CCG. Virginia Tech's schedule suddenly looks like a major run. If they beat a Miller-less Ohio State they don't have a traditional ACC football power to play the rest of the way except for what right now looks like another less than average (unless they see drastic improvement) Miami squad.

IMO that bodes well for whoever emerges from the Louisville, F.S.U., and Clemson fray. If things play out like they are set up, and VT lives up to their end of the setup, then the ACC will have a CCG that actually boosts the standing of their champion going into the playoffs.

I think the Big 10 set up a similar path for Wisconsin. Had they gotten by L.S.U. then they were set up for a single match with Nebraska for the Big 10 West. The Badgers don't play Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State or Penn State this year unless it is in the CCG.

It's an interesting strategy. Load up one division with SOS and set up another traditional power opposite that with practically no resistance but one prominent OOC game and see if you hit the Jackpot.

Let's say Miller was healthy and Wisconsin beats L.S.U.. Depending upon who wins the Michigan State/Ohio State game you have to figure that a victorious Wisconsin would provide them with a CCG of undefeateds. In the ACC if Virginia Tech scoops a win at the Horseshoe and F.S.U. wins out the same could happen. Both set up a greater possibility to get your champion in by virtue of a highly hyped CCG, and it also dramatically enhances the possibility of getting a second school in. Maybe this quirk in scheduling was intentional, maybe not, but the possibilities are real nonetheless.

I think balance is overrated. Of course, you can certainly accomplish this (and more) by going more-or-less North/South (with Louisville in the North to provide more punch) - the problem with that is too many teams in the North!*

Do I have to write in crayon here?

He wears a dress shirt and tie. Just like his college head coach Paterno did.

I'm on the no-division train. So no, you should write in pencil to more easily erase your mistaken assumptions.
