I liked Stoss, but he and his counterpart on the basketball beat (can't believe I've already forgotten his name) made clear that they much preferred professional sports to college sports. I love to see this from new DNR beat writer Matt Jones:

Yeah, his stuff is on a different level than what Stoss was putting out there. He's really prolific too....the articles are lengthy and usually have some real substance. I know he complains about some of the limited access that he's getting, but you wouldn't know it from what he posts. Overall, great job.
