Summer League with the @Raptors !Thank you for the opportunity ?
The Enquirer posted a piece about it.
Quote:Troy Caupain did not have to wait long for a National Basketball Association opportunity.
After going unselected in the 2017 NBA Draft on Thursday, former University of Cincinnati point guard Caupain tweeted Friday night that the Toronto Raptors had offered him a chance in the NBA Summer League next month.
“Summer League with the @Raptors! Thank you for the opportunity,” Caupain tweeted.
According to NBA.com, Toronto will participate in the NBA Summer League series July 7-17 in Las Vegas.
Caupain had pre-draft workouts and/or meetings with NBA teams including Toronto, Atlanta, Dallas, Phoenix, Indiana, Charlotte, Sacramento, Milwaukee, Utah, Washington and the Los Angeles Clippers.
Former UC and NBA player Nick Van Exel, now an assistant coach with the Memphis Grizzlies, tweeted congratulations to Caupain:
"Handle your biz. Believe in yourself and have fun."
Caupain is the only player in UC history with more than 1,300 points and 500 assists. Caupain had a school-record 515 assists and scored 1,317 points, tying Cashmere Wright for 22nd place on the UC career scoring list.
Caupain, from Midlothian, Virginia, helped lead UC to a 30-6 record and the program’s seventh consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance this past season.

Good luck to him. I know he's not a prototypical NBA point, but he's good enough to land some place for a pretty decent paycheck.

RE: Caupain NBA
Obviously I hope he makes it. He's got some advantages that he's a 6'4 point guard who is only 21 years old. But the game has changed and his strengths of assisting others and avoiding turnovers aren't valued as much in the NBA. NBA teams are putting scorers at the point guard spot like Kyrie and Steph; the traditional point guard is non existent. I hope I'm wrong but I think his paychecks come from overseas but he should have a long and lucrative career.
