Troy's crowd looked great at least at the beginning of the game. Regardless of what we think of them, they have always traveled strong to Legion Field.
As for the good guys, the Blazer Club and Champions Club were packed, and underneath the upper level there were tons of UAB fans trying to stay cool in the shade. I have missed very few games over the years, and from my years of following UAB, this was a very strong crowd. As always, it was a late arriving crowd, but they were there.
It would be interesting to see a crowd shot that captured the entire west stands before halftime.
We have been one of the worst football teams in college football the past three years, and for our first home game, in a steam bath, at 11am, we had over 27,000. If we start winning over a two to three year period, 27,000 will seem disappointing.
Coach Clark understands that UAB is a football gold mine - Isn't it great to finally have a coach who both understands this (Former HCNC knew this too), and can execute a plan that allows us to reach our potential?
