Louisiana Tech Opens Conference Play at North Texas Thursday

"North Texas is completely different than the two teams we have played in what they do on both sides of the ball," Holtz said of Dan McCarney's North Texas squad. "When you look at their offense, they are run oriented. They are going to get bigger than you are, whether that is two tight ends, two full backs, unbalanced. They are going to find a way to run the power play. They are going to find a way to come off the ball. They are very well coached. I have great respect for their entire staff. I know quite a few of them. I have had the opportunity to coach with some of them. I know a lot of guys on that staff and they are very well coached, well-disciplined and very simple with what they do. They are structured and you know exactly where they are going to be but you still have to block them. They know what they are going to do and they are extremely good at it."
