If "P5" vs "P5" games are to be the new norm, nobody told the ACC.
Delaware Adds Five ACC Teams to Future Schedules
NC State Adds 15 Games to Future Schedules
I'm fairly certain it will be business as usual. Cartel 5 schools are not going to give up the 7th home game to play other Cartel schools exclusively, and NC State says outright they want to play 2 G5 schools each year.
Quote:In the release today, Debbie Yow stated that NC State’s non-conference schedule will continue to consist of “one Power 5 conference team, two FBS opponents from among the American, C-USA, MAC, Sunbelt and WAC (later changed to MWC in release), and one FCS opponent.”

The P5 v P5 only is only important if you're close to qualifying for the playoff and need the SOS boost.
Otherwise, ADs still have to balance budgets, want the home game revenue, and will still schedule bought games, 2 for 1s, etc. P5 v P5 only will mean the loss of a home game (most likely). Gotta love side effects.

NC State knows they are never making the playoff, so who cares? An AAC will win the national championship before NC State sniffs the playoff.
