It is difficult when you hear someone chose this way to leave this world. Would make an interesting research study to see how the suicide rate of entertainers(actors, singer and athletes) who are no longer in the lime light compares to that of people in other lines of work.

Such a sad way to end your days on earth. Although it could have been even sadder way if he went the way of Yvette Vickers. Queen of the 50s B movies. Her mummified remains were found in her house. No one cared enough to visit her, so no one knows the day she died.

He had at least three new movies in post production and had a show as recently as this spring. I think it's more just "demons" he struggled with his entire life. Rarely does the death of a Hollywood celebrity affect me too much, but while all of them are sad to an extent, this one is truly troubling.

What does that have to do with Robin Williams? He was in four films in post production that are due out later this year and at least two more that hadn't reached the point of filming yet.

One side note. He had heart bypass surgery right before a scheduled stand up tour several years ago. As if living with an addiction isn't enough, having your chest ripped open and going through that horrific process automatically adds stress and even more depression to your life.

This is probably the most stunning big celebrity death I can think of in the past couple of decades.

Exactly, my step dad was about 65 when he had his, he lived another ten years, but he was never the same after that surgery.

Everyone probably knows someone in this rocky boat, but the medications they put you on for 'depression' and mood swings can cause depression and thoughts of suicide. Lyrica, the nerve med, is notorious in that respect.
