But you would think after they hit their first 3 3 pointers that you would take it away, unless they were shooting Napier/Curry type 3 pointers.

Tom Crean after the game:

"Well, what can I say. They made shots and we didn't." He went on to note "You don't have to be a Phd to understand that it's about making the long range stuff work. They did, we didn't. That's why we lost. Simple as that."

Channeling his inner Pastner.

You beat me to it LOL

Well thanks Indiana. Maybe now if we don't win every game in Canada by 20+ pts, those who might otherwise have considered jumping from the MS River bridge or predicted the end of the world as we know it, might now exercise some restraint & even keep calls for JP's firing or calling our players to be over-rated down to a minimum.

Or maybe not, what was i thinking..........

Actually his real quotes:

"You've got to keep the ball under control. That was a great strength of ours last year. We led the league in 3-point shooting (defense)," Crean said. "There were times we did a better job of that inside of the game … and then defensive fatigue got us."

“They were excellent and we knew they would be. We made a lot of adjustments in terms of matchups, but we didn’t lose the game on offense – we lost it because we were fatigued defensively,” said Indiana head coach Tom Crean in a release.

From player Yogi Farrell:

"We've just got to reiterate to these guys: It's team defense," Ferrell said postgame. "It's getting to the right spots on defense."

I have my tickets and read it 100X a day, and I still can't believe it.

That is what I would expect a coach to say...If the other team shoots below 40% and you lose then you can talk about YOUR shooting.

I can tell, you Crean was already on the hot seat before this exhibition game. Most IU fans I know are hoping this year will be Crean's last.
